Hi to all, - NAVY CT HISTORY

Hi to all,

We’re sending another note around (I’m sure there’ll be many more) to make some corrections.  Arrangements for Saturday group dinner can be moved up to an earlier time (possibly 5:00-5:30) to allow time for those who want to attend the Grapevine Opry House on Saturday night the 6th at 7:30 pm.  We are requesting that all that want to attend the Saturday night show send an email letting us know how many.  Tickets are normally $15.00.  A group discount will be given if there are 25 or more attending and paid in advance.  Even if we don’t have enough attending for a group rate, we can still make the reservations and pay for the show earlier to make sure that those wishing to attend can reserve a ticket for the show.  Send me an email letting me know.  Thanks.

When making reservations, ask for the Lone Star NCVA rate. We have 20 rooms blocked with 2-3 of them being handicap accessible. If we reserve at least 15 rooms, the rate will be $74.00 a night. With tax it will be $84.00. Small pets are allowed at a charge of $10 a night per pet. If pets are coming, it must be mentioned at the time of reservation. A continental breakfast is included in the price. We have until 9/19/12 to try and get 15 or more rooms so the party room will be free. The hotel is right off highway 114 and at one end of Grapevine Main Street.  The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the airport and for places within a 5 mile limit. There are plenty of restaurants in the area.

If you figured that there would be some wineries in Grapevine, you’d be right!  There are a lot of attractions in and around Grapevine, located driving distance from Fort Worth and Dallas.  Grapevine’s Main Street Historic District  has 75 restored buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places filled with art galleries, gift shops, restaurants, clothing boutiques, antique stores and a farmers market.  There’s Ranger Stadium, Cowboy Stadium, Six Flags Over Texas, Lone Star Park, Cotton Bowl game, Texas State Fair just to name a few of the attractions around this area of Texas.

See attachment for additional Reunion information.  Drop us an email at gloria.a.ayars@.

Hope to see you in Grapevine!
