Today, there are more than 12 million Americans living with cancer. I emphasize living with cancer, because the five-year survival rate has risen from 49 percent to 67 percent in the last 35 years. As physicians, you are well aware that many of your friends, family members and colleagues are cancer survivors, thanks to the amazing advances in cancer treatment.

The Hartford HealthCare Cancer Network partners include the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital, the George Bray Cancer Center at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, the Palladino Family Cancer Center at MidState Medical Center and the Windham Hospital Cancer Center. We are working together to get every cancer patient the very best care as close to home as possible. We are working together to coordinate our efforts, share best practices and ensure that the same high-quality care is available to all patients and families across our institutions.

Our multidisciplinary teams put patients first and strive, through an emphasis on research and education, to bring the latest technological and organizational advancements to patients and families. Our teams are your teams. We make sure that community physicians and clinicians stay in the lineup through the patient's treatment and beyond. The patient and family are invaluable team members.
