Plagiarism Checker Report Instructions

To obtain the plagiarism report you will need in your assignment, use the following steps:

1. Submit your paper to the Center for Writing Excellence in the Library.

a. When you click on the library tab, you will see the section for the Center for Writing Excellence on the left-hand side of the screen. There is an option to submit your paper for grammar and plagiarism review. Click on that link.

b. Once you click that link, you will be directed to a new screen, and at the bottom of that screen is a place to submit your papers.

c. Upload your paper and click on the plagiarism checker box, and then click submit. Keep in mind that it takes approximately 2 to 4 hours, more at busy times, especially on Mondays, so make sure to plan ahead.

2. After some time has passed, go back into the Library – Center for Writing Excellence, and click on “My Papers” where you will find the paper you submitted earlier.

3. Review the results of the report and determine if corrections or changes need to be made to your assignment. If so, make those changes and re-submit your paper to the Plagiarism Checker.

4. To submit the final report with your assignment, you can save it as a pdf, copy and paste it into a Word document, or take a screenshot.

Note: The report will help you see what material has come from other sources, and hopefully will guide you to a better form of writing, with fewer direct quotes, as well as help you learn how to paraphrase information successfully. Academic writing also shows that you really understand the material that you are studying in this course.
