Dear Beauceant Sisters,

On behalf of the 2018 Hostess Group, I would like to invite you to the 98th Supreme Session of the Social Order of the Beauceant, September 24-28, 2018. The members of the 2018 Hostess Group are working hard to make this an enjoyable week for all who attend.

The Texas Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada offers many activities, as well as the usual room amenities including iron, ironing board, hair dryer, (microwave and refrigerator for medical needs must be requested when you make your reservations). The hotel also has free high-speed internet access throughout the hotel. The hotel room rate is $90.00 (Fri - Sat), $45.00 (Sun-Thurs) (double occupancy, each additional person is $15.00 per night) plus tax and resort fee, and you may choose a king or two Queen bed room.

The hotel is located in the Northwest end of the valley. The hotel has a Coffee Shop, Buffet and a fast food Court. Parking is complimentary in both Parking Garages (The South Garage is closer to the rooms) and also Valet Service. See the enclosed sheet with driving directions which also explains the hotel parking areas, car rental services, Super Shuttle, Uber, Lyft, and private cabs. Since our meeting is still six months away, we suggest that you check on any of these desired services as soon as you make your airline reservations if you are flying in.

If you are arriving on Friday, September 21st or Saturday, September 22nd please contact: Mrs. Sharon Duffin 702-726-1725 sharonlva207soob@ Mrs. Lynn Berzins 702-449-1483 lynnlva207soob@ If you would provide us with your flight information it would be our pleasure to provide transportation from the Airport to the Texas Station. If you are arriving after Saturday please check the enclosed information on Ground Transportation.

We have activities starting Sunday evening if you wish to arrive on the weekend. Please read the enclosed information that has more details about all the tours. Come a day or two early and see the many scenic areas surrounding the Las Vegas Valley.

Tuesday evening is our Vespers Service; we have a very special evening planned, please join us. On Wednesday, we will hold our annual School of Instruction as the Supreme Officers demonstrate the ritual and floor work. This is a great opportunity for our newer members to see how the Assembly Room is set up and to have questions answered about our work also for a refresher of our Work for the rest of us.

If you are a line officer in your Assembly, you will want to come to one of the breakfasts on Thursday morning and meet your Supreme Officer counterpart. There is also a breakfast for Past Presidents and one for the Sir Knights. Because of the distance from the Supreme Assembly Room and the Restaurants, we have added breakfast Monday and Tuesday before Tours.

The Council of Administration has approved limited fundraising at Supreme Assembly. See the Fundraising Information sheet enclosed. Reminder that if you plan to participate, you must submit the information for items to be sold to the Jurisprudence Committee for approval prior to the Assembly.

Check the Tentative Schedule of Events in the packet for events and times, but listed below are some highlights:

Vespers will be on Tuesday at 8 p.m. School of Instruction will start on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Formal Banquet will be on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Officers and Sir Knights breakfasts will be Thursday at 7:30 a.m. Formal Opening of the 98th Supreme Assembly will be Thursday at 10 a.m. Election of Officers will be Friday during the meeting that begins at 9 a.m. Installation of new officers will be Friday evening at 8 p.m.

All forms are due by August 15, 2018 (Advanced Registration, Event Registration, Fundraiser Table Form).

On behalf of myself, our Co-Chairman (Mrs. Kevin) Janet McCans, and all of the 2018 Hostess Group, I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to our Special Deputy (Mrs. W. Joe) Katie Ryland PSWP, and Co-Deputy (Mrs. Fred H.) Carole Buxton PSWP, for all their advice and help. They have been most generous with their time, expertise, and encouragement as all the preparations have been made.

We look forward to seeing all of you in September, and to welcoming our Supreme Worthy President Mrs. Dean Rein as she presides over the 98th Supreme Session.

Your sister in Beauceant Love,

(Mrs. Robert) Lynn Berzins, General Chairman 2018 Hostess Group
