Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

The Scripture says, " all thy children shall be taught of the Lord: and great shall be the peace of thy children". Isaiah 54:13

We are excited to announce that the Charleston County Baptist Sunday School and B.T.U. Congress of Christian Education will convene on Thursday, July 10-12, 2014 with the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Family, Reverend Dr. Arthur

Evans, Sr., Pastor and Sister Diane G. Wineglass, Superintendent. The Bible Quiz will be on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 2:45 P. M. All participants are asked to be at the church and in place no later than 2:00 P.M.

The Quiz questions will be randomly drawn from the following categories, and according to the King James Version.

THE BOOK OF REVELATION

THE BOOK OF EXODUS

THE BOOK OF MATTHEW

THE BOOK OF GENESIS

TRUE OR FALSE

JUDGES OF THE BIBLE

THE BOOK OF PSALMS

TIE BREAKER QUESTIONS WILL BE RANDOMLY SELECTED FROM

Group "A" JAMES ? CHAPTERS 1-2 Group "B" JAMES ? CHAPTERS 3-4 Group "C" JAMES ? CHAPTERS 4-5

Each church will be given the opportunity to participate in Groups "A", "B" and "C", each having separate rounds to play. All participating churches will be given the opportunity to select the age group that best reflects the makeup of those from. their Sunday School who will actually participate in the Bible Quiz. Questions will be selected for each age group accordingly.

THREE TROPHIES WILL BE AWARDED ONE TO THE WINNING CHURCH IN EACH GROUP

Group "A" ages 1-8

Group "B" ages 9-12

Group "C" ages 13-20

Each team will have one Captain and one Co-captain. These will be the only two persons allowed to give answers for the team, and only after consulting with team members:

The following attached sheets (D, E, F, and G) include the application that must be filled out and returned by Monday, June 23, 2014. THERE WILL BE NO BIBLE QUIZ REGISTRATION ON THE DAY OF THE QUIZ. Please note that the main purpose of this event is to attract all youth and assemble them together for a purposeful and meaningful fellowship and learning experience.

We are asking that all Youth Leaders, Sunday School Superintendents, etc. to encourage the Youth to read the Bible and share Bible stories with the younger ones that may be unable to read. They too will find this event exciting once they have learned from the many references contained in this packet of material.

We are looking forward to seeing you and your entire congregation as they join us in support of our Youth; Until then, enjoy your study of the Word!

BIBLE QUIZ RULES (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

The Bible Quiz consists of two (2) separate rounds of play for groups "A" and "B". The first round consists of one twenty (20) point question per church and the second round consists of one thirty (30) point question per church. IN CASE OF A "TIE" AT THE END OF THE SECOND ROUND, "TIE BREAKER" QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED.

The Bible Quiz consists of three (3) separate rounds of play for group "C". The

first round consists of one twenty (20) point question per church, the second round consists of one thirty (30) point question per church and the third round consists of one fifty (50) point question per church. IN CASE OF A "TIE" AT THE END OF THE THIRD ROUND, "TIE BREAKER" QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED.

"TIE BREAKER" QUESTIONS: The same "TIE BREAKER" QUESTION will be asked until answered correctly or until the round is over. If not answered at the end of the round another "TIE BREAKER QUESTION" will be asked and the process will follow as aforementioned procedure.

The Questionnaire will read each question twice, Captains and Co- Captains will be given (10) seconds to consult with team members before answering.

QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ANSWERED IN COMPLETE SENTENCES!!!!!!!!

If an answer is yelled out from the audience, the question and the points are thrown out. The team will be given another question.

If an answer is yelled out by a team member, the answer is accepted (right or wrong) and the team is penalized (10) points.

CHURCHES AND BIBLE QUIZ PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PROPERLY REGISTERED!!!!!

CONGRESS BADGES SHOULD BE WORN AT ALL TIMES!!!!!!!!

ALL DECISIONS MADE BY THE JUDGES ARE FINAL!!!!!
