Joint Action Routine Recipe Visuals

About it

These visuals were created to support students during a joint action routine.

Who it's For (Grade/Level): Special education elementary aged students.

Why: This supports students in order to know what is expected of them during the activity Skills Addressed: communication, functional skills.

How: I laminated the visuals and cut them out, and placed velcro on the back. Then, I placed them on a felt board to use with the entire class during my activity.

Who it's For (Grade/Level): Writers in K-12 who use moderate level support.

Why: Moderate support writing activity about a common topic (school) that applies to students of all ages throughout the school year. Skills Addressed: education, communication, access, reading, writing.

How: Writing activity during A Day at School unit and a free writing option throughout the school year for students.

This book is a great tool to introduce social justice and celebrate characteristics that make each of us unique.

Why: This activity is important because it is a tool to introduce an important and challenging topic. The images make great conversation pieces, too. Applicable to use with multiple subjects/content areas. Skills Addressed: education, social studies, social justice.

How: Use this book to help children celebrate their similarities and differences and/or with a social justice unit.
