Free throws—the easiest shot in basketball…or is it? A missed free throw (FT) can win or lose a basketball game, yet many players don’t work hard enough to improve at the charity stripe. To ensure the Pride doesn’t lose any close ones this year, we are combining a mass free throw practice session with an exciting fundraising opportunity. The Pride are asking you to pledge a certain monetary amount per FT made by our student-athletes in a 100 FT shoot-off occurring in November 2007. Your financial support helps the Pride purchase new uniforms, sweat suits, and other perks for our hard-working student-athletes. Please ask the soliciting athlete what type of free throw shooter she is based on the following:
AN EXCEPTIONAL FREETHROW SHOOTER WILL SHOOT 90% (90/100)
AN EXCELLENT FREETHROW SHOOTER WILL SHOOT 80% (80/100)
A GOOD FREETHROW SHOOTER WILL SHOOT 70% (70/100)
AN AVERAGE FREETHROW SHOOTER WILL SHOOT 60% (60/100)
Pledge Example: Billy Dunkshot’s Grandparents pledge 25 cents/FT made, and Billy makes 75% (75/100) of his FTs during the shoot-off. Total Pledge = 25 cents/FT x 75 FTs made = $18.75

After our shoot-off, we will send you a copy of this pledge form as an invoice for the total amount owed. The Pride thank you for your generous support of our basketball program and our special student-athletes.
