Acknowledgements

Jennifer Pollock, editor extraordinaire, conceptualized the idea for this book. Sheryl Posnick not only edited, but also dealt with various obstacles to make sure that this book came together as it should. Eric Titner, production editor, worked to make this book the best it could be. Thanks so much to all of you! It's one thing to write about it, but Lauren Casteline King and Andrea Laurencell are in the trenches, teaching vocabulary and test preparation to students every day. A big thank you to both of you for taking the time to review the manuscript and provide feedback and advice. And finally, writing two books in six months takes up a lot of time. Thanks to my family (Rita Sr., Rita Jr., Cheryl, John, Nathan, Colby, and Blake) for understanding where my priorities had to be this year.
