Thursday May 7, 2009

Pat Jeski at Carlyle Grill in Ann Arbor called the meeting to order at 7:30PM.

Chili Akome – New Member, Liz and Jim Christopher – Goodie Store, Jim Dowty, Stewart Free – Events Committee, Matt Huber, James Lang, Burghard Linn – Treasurer, Christian Maloof – DE Chair, Melinda and Leonard Murz – Board Member at Large, Valerie Roedenbeck – Webmistress, Sue Sarin – Charity Committee, Nancy and Karl Schulz., and Glenn Trapp – Membership Chair.

Meeting Minutes: April minutes were reviewed and approved.

Treasurer's report: Burghard Linn presented the April Financial report. The report was approved. Tax returned filed.

REMINDER: The Treasurer’s Report is available to any RSR Club member. E-Mail your request to Burghard Linn (burghard.linn@).

Insurance: Matt HuberBurghard paid for the first Waterford event.

Goody Store Report: Jim Christopher reported that no new items sold. He does have a lady's polo shirt available.

Advertising Report: Owen Balduf absent. Jim reported that the bills for 2009 would be in the mail tomorrow.

Membership: Glenn Trapp reported that we have 220 members. There are 3 new members this month.

Track report: Sign up's are strong for the first Waterford event and for the Grattan event. Tom Krueger inquired of Dan Gaulin as to what the position of registrar requires.

Newsletter: Mike O'Rear reported that the deadline is 5/18/09. Valerie and Christian are contributing to the newsletter.

Web site: Valerie Roedenbeck reported that the website is being updated (during the meeting). All the links are working.

Events Committee: Stewart Free reported that 14 – 15 social events are planned for this year. The Waterford Ride and Dine event is coming up. Participation at the events has been up so far. The membership has until the end of May to respond to the Events Survey. Survey report will be available at the next meeting. We need a host for the Rolling Sculpture event (7/10) in Ann Arbor. The Meadowbrook Event is scheduled for 8/2/09. Pat discussed the possibility of a car corral. A host for that event would also be required.
