Purchase a 140lb, Cold Press Acid Free Strathmore(brand name) 11’’x 15’’ 300 series watercolor pad.4 Paints: in tubes(AP) Windsor & Newton Artist Watercolor or (AP) Grunbacher or (AP) De Vinci Artist Watercolor. (if possible, do not purchase Cotman).5 Board to tape watercolor paper on: 12” x 16” foam or gator board; Masonite6 Masking tape for watercolor paper7 Two containers to hold water (glass or plastic from home)8 Sketch book that will take light washes9 Soft 2B drawing pencil10 Small spary bottle11 A kneaded eraser12 Paper Towels; Tissues; small natural spongeThe Art Emporium in Old Saybrook may have some of these materials.
