There are multiple reasons why people need information about freight charges. For example:

THE SOLUTION

Infodis has a rate server in which numerous variables can be set. Based on 20 years of experience Infodis is able to calculate freight charges and additional costs within all kind of dimensions. This includes all modalities such as Express, Parcel, Road, Air and Ocean including additional costs such as ADR and Fuel Surcharge.

These amounts are split per cost type and can easily be retrieved for financial reporting purposes.

It is also possible to calculate both purchase and sales amounts. The calculated amounts can be shown in the shipment details and both can be used for further handling.

The information gives you a clear insight into the costs per shipment, including their additional costs.

This information is also vital for invoice control, pre-billing / self billing, virtual consolidation or any other form of financial analyses.

Pricing determination The pricing can come in numerous dimensions. It can be based on weight, volume, pallet etc. or a combination of multiple factors. Within the Infodis rate server all these combinations are supported.

Additional costs The additional costs such as fuel surcharge, extra (un)loading address, waiting hours etc. have a different determination structure. These can be based on a quantity or a percentage, which can both be handled. Per lane additional costs can be calculated or manually added.
