4656455-13822300Apple Class Working From Home18914241537100Friday 22nd MayBonjour APPLE CLASSI hope you have enjoyed this week’s French activities, I certainly have because I have learnt lots of new French words. I hope you enjoy your French food tasting you might like to send in a photo of you eating your food. You have all been amazing keeping going with all your hard work at home, the astounding work you have returned and photos I have seen are showing me how great you all are at preserving and trying your very best. I know there has been days when you probably don’t feel like doing the work and it has been tough, I’ll you into a little secret even I get days like that and it’s ok to feel like this but just keep saying to yourself “I can do this, I can do this.” It might surprise you how it makes you feel more positive by saying it out loud to yourself. It is half term next week so you can relax and enjoy the sunshine as there is no school work for a whole week!Have a great week off, just remember to keep yourself…Written Task Today I would like you to imagine you are visiting Paris for the day. During your trip you might visit some of the landmarks in Paris like the Effiel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe or Notre Dame Cathedral. I have included some video for you to watch to imagine you are there and a virtual tour of the Effiel Tower.During your trip I would like you to imagine you stop and have something to eat in a little café this is when you can do your French food tasting which your parents have kindly provided for you. So you might like to say ‘Merci’ (thank you) to your parents for your food to taste. Maybe you are enjoying some scrummy cheese and baguette, croissants, pain au chocolate or something else that is just as delicious maybe not snails or frogs legs! you have finished tasting your food and your virtual trip around Paris your actual task for today is to write me a postcard from Paris on Purple mash. So when you login to Purple Mash there will hopefully be an alert with a 2do task filling in a blank postcard from Paris. I would like you to write about your day in Paris, telling me what you saw and did in Paris, you can tell me what your favourite landmark is and why, what your ate and if you enjoyed it. You can used what you learnt about from your research for poster to help you write as well, you might want to include an interest fact. (If you have ever actually been to Paris you might like to write about that trip and what you did there.)I have also attached a Paris city cut out template for you to create your own mini Paris so you can imagine you are one of the people walking around the city. If you don’t have printer you could copy the images on to scrap paper to make your own.Note to parents - remember to use the new login details I sent out a while a go with their letter – if you don’t use the new login the 2do will not be there – if you need your new login details please What’s app Lucy Birch as she will be able to provide the new details.Once you have logged in and found your 2do in the 2do folder at the top and opened it. You can start to write about your trip to Paris. Here is my example.255771301000 When you have finished writing you can then flip the postcard over by clicking on the green arrow at the bottom and then click on the green cross in the top right hand corner to change the picture on the front of your postcard. To add a French stamp click on the clipart images and it will bring up a box with stamps in, click and drag the French stamp into the stamp position.64638617705600292100012763500You don’t have to complete it all today you might like to complete the writing in small chunks over half term but always remember to save it. When you save it just click on save you don’t need to worry about saving it to a folder because it is a 2do it will automatically save to your work so if you need to go back to it will still be in the 2do folder until you hand it in (so don’t hand in until completely finished) and then I should be able to see it and then comment when you have handed it in. Hand in14954252540000265500I look forward to seeing your postcards from Paris and hopefully I will be able to print them out to add to the France display in our classroom. 21636076664500Maths TaskIn this lesson, you will be naming the 2-D shapes that you can see on the surfaces of 3-D shapes. You will need your working from home book and pencil. ActivitySee above for today’s online activity. Physical/Outdoor ActivityTarget practise4193422127657100Set up some targets outside if you can. Check with grown-ups if need to be inside, to make sure it is safe. For targets you can use tins of food, building blocks, or anything else you have around. Arrange them so that some are further away than others. Using a soft ball (rolled up socks are great, try to hit the targets from a spot. You can make it into a competition by giving each target a number of points if you hit it and see who scores the most. ................
