A low-cost Spay and Neuter Clinic opened in 2009 and has contributed to a 13.5% reduction in the number of animals brought to Burlington Animal Services and a 17% reduction in euthanized animals. Still, domesticated animals without a home remain a challenge, as 7461 animals were brought to Animal Services in 2010. ................
