FTCE General Knowledge Test Pilot Test Opportunity for StudentsLocation and DatesComputer-based pilot tests will be offered at Pearson Professional Centers throughout Florida.August 20, 2013 - September 24, 2013 (registration open NOW)Advantages of Pilot Test Participation (There is no cost to participate in the pilot test):For each test form completed, participants will receive a $50?check (mailed to the address provided)Provide input into the test that will be taken by future educatorsGauge professional knowledge by taking actual test itemsGain practical testing experience?Who Is Eligible To Participate?Teacher education?studentsRecently certified educators or degree holders?(0-3 years)Recent General Knowledge examineesNote: Faculty are not eligible to participate in the pilot test?Test Information and ScoresEach pilot test includes two written performance assessment prompts.? All pilot test sessions are 150 minutes long.? Eligible candidates can register for up to two General Knowledge pilot tests.? The second registration can only be scheduled after the first pilot test session is completed (consecutive pilot test appointments are not available).? Because information from the pilot test will only be used to evaluate the test items, score information will not be provided. Pilot test results will be analyzed as group data only and will be kept confidential. No information that could identify a particular individual will be released.
