God is with us through His Holy Spirit; He sent someone specific to help us. How does it feel to know that God is with you? What can you do to remember this and let it encourage you when you get worn out?What current situation are you in right now that you need some determination for?Is?there anything specific you need prayer for this week??Any prayers answered from last week??Activities?Mother’s Day “Mother’s Day” is a?special craft made to?celebrate the women in our students’ lives who fill the mothering role.?What You Need:?“Happy Mother’s Day” card, markers, crayons, paints or any other craft suppliesWhat You Do: Print out the Mother’s Day Card. Fold the card in half so the “Happy Mother’s Day” is on the front.?Have your child write on each line, filling in the blanks on the inside of the card. Have them write their name at the bottom. Encourage them to color and decorate the front with whatever you have on hand. What You Say:?“It’s Mother’s Day, which is a special day! On Mother’s Day we get to celebrate the women who help?to?take care of us. We get to do nice things for them! Let’s make a special card.?On each line on the inside, write something of why you love your Mom, Grandma, Aunt, or other friend. Don’t forget to write your name on your picture. Then have fun decorating the front anyway you like. Please let me know if you need any help.”??Then Say: “Now you have a special gift to give for Mother’s Day!?Look at your beautiful card!?(Pause.) God made each and every one of us special and beautiful just like your card! The right column shows a way that need can be filled.Have your child draw a line from the need on the left to the need being filled on the right.Spend some time talking about each situation. Ask them what other needs the people in the scenarios might have.For example, the kid who needed a hug might also need prayer. The kid in the hospital bed might also need medicine.What You Say:“These were all examples of things we need. We need water. We need prayer. We often need a hug. We need help when we’re sick or we get hurt. We have all kinds of needs. The people around us can help give us what we need in these situations. And do you know who put those people in our lives? (Pause.) God did! He often fills our needs by using the people we love—our families, our friends, our Small Group Leaders, our neighbors. God gives you what you need to keep going.”[Make It Personal] (Tell kids about a time God gave you what you needed to keep going through something someone in your life did for you.) Pray?“God, there are a lot of times when we focus on the things we want You to give us instead of being grateful for everything You have already blessed us with! Today we simply want to come to You praising You for everything You have given us. We know that no matter what we face, You will give us what we need to keep going. Thank You for reminding us of this today!” ................
