Important Dressage Rules

*** If you are planning to enter any Dressage class, please note that an acknowledgement agreement must be signed and accompany your entry form. They can be found on the Horse Park of NJ’s website. ***

Any cross entries or special requests MUST be listed on your Dressage Entry form. Once ride times are posted, NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE if there is a conflict and it has not be identified on your registration form. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you are cross entered, and there is a delay or change of time with your other class(es), your dressage test takes priority; your dressage time will not be changed due to a delay/change of time in your cross entered class(es). This has been discussed and agreed upon by all members of the show committee.

All ride times will be firmly adhered to.

You MUST check in with the ring steward no later than 5 minutes prior to your ride time. If you do not check in 5 minutes prior to your ride time and you are not at the ring for your ride time, you will forfeit your ride. However, should you so choose, you may ride your test concours at the end of the day.

ARRIVE EARLY!! Allow yourself enough time to check in with the secretary, tack up, warmup, and check in at the ring 5 minutes before your ride time. Remember, if you are not ready to ride at your schedule time, you forfeit your ride.

We want all horses and riders to enjoy the show and running the dressage portion of the Fun Show in a timely manner is paramount. Thank you!

Covid-19 Emergency Response Plan

Important phone numbers in case of an Emergency:

FIRE DEPARTMENT: Hope Fire Company – Allentown, NJ (609) 259-7200

PARAMEDICS: 911

AMBULANCE: Allentown Emergency Squad – (609) 259-2311

POLICE: NJ State Police – (609) 584-5000

COMPETITION MANAGER: Jane Cory (215) 262-2870

SAFETY COORDINATOR/COVID-19 COMPLIANCE OR RESOURCE OFFICER: Tom Coulter (443) 309-1009

Daily Protocols:

Temperatures will be taken daily of all attendees, competitors and staff. A representative of competition management will be at the entrance of the facility and will check temperatures of every individual as they enter the grounds. If anyone is found to have a temperature of 99.5 or over, they and anyone in the vehicle with them will be turned away. No one may arrive prior to 6:30 am on competition days.

Facility will be cleaned and disinfected daily and periodically throughout the day as necessary and appropriate.

Portable restrooms are available. These portable restrooms have hand sanitizing dispensers.

Restrooms will be cleaned and sanitized periodically throughout the day in accordance with local guidelines.

Hand sanitizer will be available by the rings, the indoor, the restrooms and the stabling area.

All entries MUST be complete in order to receive a ride time. This will allow riders to be checked into the show at the temperature check station and minimize interaction with the staff.

Attendance at the show will be limited to Competitor, Coach, Groom and Significant Other. Everyone should have a facemask on when interacting with anyone outside of your household. Please stay 6’ apart from members outside of your household. It is best practice to just keep your mask on as you travel through the facility just in case you find yourself interacting within six feet with someone outside of your household.

Attendees, volunteers, and staff must notify the show manager immediately if they are diagnosed with Covid within 14 days after the competition.

Isolation of an individual exhibiting signs of Covid-19:

Should an individual exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 while at the competition every effort will be made to have the individual transported to the hospital for treatment. If transport is not available our Safety Coordinator and EMT will move the individual to the Lamb House until they can be transported. Anyone interacting with or caring for this individual will wear an N-95 mask and gloves. Once the individual has been transported off site, the isolation area will be cleaned and disinfected with Clorox solution. Masks, gloves and clothing of those who interacted with the possibly infected individual should be removed and disposed of, or if appropriate cleaned and sanitized.

Anyone medically not able to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols, must provide the safety coordinator with documentation from their physician.

There will be additional paperwork and protocols in place due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Please allow extra time to be processed. It is advisable to print the Waiver and Entry Form in advance to help avoid long waits upon checkin.

Please refer to the website for forms:

The waiver is on the landing page and the link is below:
