The Central Lay School of Ministry meets at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church in Wausau (3200 North Mountain Rd, Wausau, WI 54401) It is a ministry of the East Central Synod of Wisconsin. You can find information about that program on the Synod website. Please remember both Lay School programs in your prayers. If so, you can remember what a great time you had and what a wonderful experience it can be for most individuals. Please read the flyer from Crossways located at the Connection Desk regarding the shortage of leadership in the ELCA and how congregations are looking for a partner in ministry - like Crossways. Crossways can provide faith formation opportunities that many congregations cannot offer. If you have any questions please speak with our member Kathy Stockhaus, Calvary’s Crossways representative.00Did you or your child attend summer camp or Confirmation Camp? Calvary also has regained the “Golden Sneaker Award” for having the most walkers. Check out the BIG SHOE in the Library Bookcase located in the Narthex. Thank you to Julie Kubiaczyk for coordinating this event for Calvary. Woodchucks Game 2019Calvary had 19 people attend the Woodchucks Game on Sunday, June 23. What a fun event! The first few innings were a little iffy on weather – but it turned out to be a great day. Sorry we don’t have pictures of everyone. Gene & Shirley Mackey’s grandson, Ivar (age 8) and granddaughter, Eden (age 5) were chosen to participate in the “Mustard and Ketchup Race”. . . they were adorable as little bottles of ketchup and mustard . . .but their big thrill was the ride in the golf cart around the bases. Dan Young’s granddaughter, Amelia Vaughn, won a race as the Little Bee. . . and Lucky Row #2 won a slice of pizza for everyone in the row, thanks to Dan Young’s son-in-law, Bill Vaughn, who answered the trivia questions correctly. ................
