POSITION TITLE: BUSINESS MANAGERREPORTS TO: EXECUTIVE DIRECTORCOMPENSATION:COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE, FULL-TIME EXEMPTSUMMARY: The Business Manager's primary function is to coordinate and manage the accounting and business services including membership sales and support of the Chamber and its programs and entities, including the Hancock County Community Development Foundation, and Partners for Stennis & Michoud in the areas of accounts payable and receivable activities, invoicing, budgeting, preparing financial reports and other accounting, database, and business services activity. This position also manages committees of the Chamber (Education, Leadership, Other) and supports the funds that are fiscally managed by the Foundation.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESQuickBooks Management and Accounting of sameManage and Monitor bank accountsPrepare/Mail Collections, Business, and Financial Correspondence as NecessaryRegularly Update QuickBooks with Payment Status/HistoryPrepare Payables and Receivable and Reports Systemize Incoming Payments/Process in QuickBooksPrepare and make DepositsPrepare and Process Payables According to Due DatesAssigning Chart of Accounts Support Month End Reconciliation ReportsResponsible for membership sales and support, maintaining accurate membership data base, including but not limited to invoicing, event calendars and current membership profile informationAssist with preparing and monitoring Financial Reports and BudgetsCoordinate internal office business operations Attend Special Events and Program activities out of office and after work-hoursObtain authorized signatures as requiredSupport staff to the finance committees of all entities the Chamber managesManage compliance of Job Generation FundSupport other staff members as needed; other Duties as assignedQUALIFICIATION/REQUIREMENTSTwo years accounting and business administrative experienceFour Year College Degree preferred Knowledge of GAAPQuickbooks experience (may be subject to Chamber training as needed)Excellent computer and customer service skills Multi-fund accounting and project management experience a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational and time management skillsGood verbal and written communications skillsKnowledge of Chamber of Commerce agency a plusCombination of education and experience may be evaluatedHOW TO APPLY: Send resume with salary history to Hancock Chamber of Commerce, 100 South Beach Blvd, Suite A, Bay St. Louis, MS? 39520, email to sally@.
