He starts Cali and Pennies for Peace. He has built many schools up to date. Choose Your Own Adventure #9 (old version) by Edward Packard Genre: AdventureRating: 5Great idea to make your own story. You start off as a detective who is well known and is trying to solve a murder. Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz Genre: Realistic fictionRating: 5It was a good thriller. Lots of action. Very fast paced. Great ending and the best part is ready supply of sequels!Skeleton Key by Anthony Horowitz Genre: Action fictionRating: 4The fourth book in the series was a little repetitive. It had the same formula as the other books so it was a very tiny bit predictable. The beginning was a little slow. Besides those flaws it is still a pretty good book. There was plenty of slam bang action and the ending was great.The Watson’s Go to Birmingham 1963 by Christopher Paul CurtisGenre: Historical fictionRating: 5First off all of Christopher Paul Curtis’s books are great. People who are interested in the civil rights movement era in America will love this book. This book was not only funny but it also told a lot about that era of American history. I highly recommend this book. Read this book.Calvin and Hobbes: Lazy Sunday by Bill WattersonGenre: Humor/ClassicRating: 5I enjoyed the book very much. It was very funny. It is about a boy named Calvin and his stuffed tiger Hobbes. I suggest this book to any kid 7+. :) Awesome Book!The Shakespeare Stealer by Gary Blackwood Genre: Adventure/HistoricalRating: 5It was a very good book. I learned a lot about Shakespeare and old England. It is about an orphan named Wedge. He tries to steal "Hamlet". He is torn whether or not to betray his new friends. I would recommend this book to a 4th grade+ :) Awesome Book!The Last Olympian by Rick RiordanGenre: Adventure/some mystery/Historical/some Humor/Very little romance......... A lot of genresRating: 5The Last Olympian is the 5th (and last) book of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series. It is when Kronos (bad guy) tries to destroy Mount Olympus. If you have not read the other books you will not understand this book. It takes place in our time! I would recommend to 4th grade+. Great book! Give it a 5. :) Simpson’s Comics Extravaganza by Various writers/artistsGenre: HumorRating: 5It is a VERY funny book. Bart is my favorite character; because he gets in trouble A LOT. My favorite part is when Bart ditches school just to go to a baseball game and get free baseball cards. This book has comics from 4 different comic books. I recommend it to 4th grade+. Great book!Who was Harriet Tubman? By Don't Know Genre: BiographyRating: 2This book tells the story of Harriet Tubman's life. Harriet was born with the nickname Minty. At age 5 or 6 she was hired out to very rude people. Soon after her master died she was sold to a kinder master, but was to be sold again. Hearing this, Harriet ran away. When she was in freedom, she went back to help her fellow slaves until her death. She is still highly honored today.Who Was William Shakespeare by Celeste Davidson Mannes Genre: BiographyRating: 3This book tells the story of William Shakespeare's life. He was born into a middle-low class family. His father was a glove maker. As he grew up the town and country lost much of their money. The Shakespeare's were greatly affected. Then William married and moved away. He started writing plays in London for money. He became very successful and his plays are still acted out today.The Throne of Zeus by D.L. Goodman (A Choose Your Own Adventure Book) Genre: AdventureRating: 5This is a great story about kid who has parents as archeologists. It is up to you to see if you will talk to Zeus or never find out the evidence as to Zeus being alive.Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator by Roald DahlGenre: AdventureRating: 5This is a nice story about going into space and fighting extraterrestrial creatures and coming back to the chocolate factory. The oldies never get up from their bed, and they finally do. They are invited as special guests of the president. This is a very enthralling adventure. With the help of her friends, she starts a dog washing service. It starts off being very hectic. Gradually, it becomes part of their lives. It is a wonderfully written story of how they overcome their troubles.Allie Finkle: Best Friends and Drama Queens by Meg Cabot Genre: MysteryRating: 5A new girl named Cheyenne moves in from Toronto. She destroys the school with her kissing games. Allie must save everyone. Allie's friends are breaking up. She is on a mission to bring them all together.Myths and Legends by Anthony Horowitz Genre: MysteryRating: 5This is a collection of stories from around the world. Myths and legends from Greece are included. My favorite happens to be about the Indian Princess Savitri. I also liked the Roman myths. You will enjoy reading all of them too even if you don't like reading.The Secret History of Giants by Ari Berk Genre: MysteryRating: 5Cool facts about giants. They differ very much. They are big and small. They marry humans!Tales of Birbal by Amar Chitha Katha Genre: MysteryRating: 5These are stories about witty Birbal. He is a hero and a witty man in Akbar's court. He is thus considered a gem in King Akbar's court. He is world renowned and visited by many different people. I especially loved his stories about being just to people.Tales of Humor by Amar Chitha KathaGenre: MysteryRating: 5These are funny stories about Indian with masters. They include 3 different humorists. Each has his own unique way of solving problems. They all are loved by their kings. They are all courtiers in different courts, each in a different time period.Tales of Hans Christian Andersen by N/A Genre: MysteryRating: 5These are tales of known fairies and magic. The Little Mermaid has a bad ending. Other stories maybe different versions of those you might have read. This is fantasy. He is a famous author.Ramayana Retold by N/A Genre: MysteryRating: 5This represents an Indian epic on Vishnu. The ideal husband rescues his wife. He is an incarnation of Vishnu. He is part God and part human. He is virtuous despite all the obstacles he faces. This includes a 14 year exile in the company of his wife and faithful brother.Mahabharata by N/A Genre: MysteryRating: 5This is a classic Indian epic. Here, cousins are fighting each other. There happen to be 5 against 100. It is one of the most major battles in India. The time happens to be million of years ago. The Gods then decide to step into this Great War to help and have taught us some great virtues.Tenali Raman by N/A Genre: MysteryRating: 5Tenali is a witty courtier. He buys the court of Krishnadeva Raya. Entertains and helps many people. He is loved. I love the story about the king's courtier who leaves to go away. The King is saddened. Tenali shows him a very wise way of dealing with this loss.Inkheart by Cornelia FunkeGenre: MysteryRating: 5Exciting story about an evil man named Capricorn and a girl’s Dad who can “read things” out of a book. Takes place in Europe. It is long but worth the read!The Ocean Of Story by N/A Genre: MysteryRating: 5The book contains a lot of stories. They are of Indian origin, revealing many more Indian myths and legends. Some of them are to do with Gods. One of my favorites is of the elephant that came down to earth to eat the vegetables from the King's royal and well landscaped gardens. The gardener goes up to Heaven holding the elephant's tail. Then the gardener's wife tells a friend and soon there is a trail of people ready to go to Heaven. The friend of the wife asks for the size of a mango in heaven to the gardener. He shows her the size and they all fall back to earth.The Land by Mildred D. Taylor Genre: Historical fictionRating: 5Just awesome! Much better than I thought it would be.How Angel Peterson Got His Name and (other tales about extreme sports) by Gary PaulsonGenre: memoir...sort ofRating: 5Very good book! His stories from his childhood were very funny. It also had a good message at the end. Definitely read this book! ................
