Abstract:
Advertisers are always touting more powerful and longer lasting batteries, but which batteries really do last longer, and is battery life impacted by the speed of the current drain? This project looks at which AA battery maintains its voltage for the longest period of time in low, medium, and high current drain devices. The batteries were tested in a CD player (low drain device), a flashlight (medium drain device), and a camera flash (high drain device) by measuring the battery voltage (dependent variable) at different time intervals (independent variable) for each of the battery types in each of the devices. My hypothesis was that Energizer would last the longest in all of the devices tested. The experimental results supported my hypothesis by showing that the Energizer performs with increasing superiority, the higher the current drain of the device. The experiment also showed that the heavy-duty non-alkaline batteries do not maintain their voltage as long as either alkaline battery at any level of current drain.

The Effect of Doing a Science Fair Project at the Last Minute
Question:
How does waiting until the last minute to do a science fair project affect a student’s sanity?
IV: waiting until the last minute
DV: student’s sanity
Constants: Science fair date, middle school students
Research:
**HERE IS YOUR RESEARCH PAPER! Copy and paste it from your saved research paper document HERE!**
Hypothesis:
If a student conducts her/his science fair project at the last minute then it could make a student (and her/his teacher!) go clinically insane because of the amount of stress that it creates.
Materials:
• A time line (that has been disregarded)
• A middle school full of students who have NOT waited until the last minute
• A sample of students who have waited until the last minuteΛ
• A deadline of FEBRUARY 19th (WEDNESDAY)!
Procedure:
1. Find a sample of students who have not followed the time line for the Science Fair project. (Could this really work?!? Will I find ANY who have not followed the time line?!? )
2. Observe what occurs as they try to do it at the last minute.
3. Have a professional available for a clinical analysis and counseling.
Results:
This section of the lab report should be written in paragraph form, telling the reader as much as you can about the project. This section SHOULD also have graphs, charts, or pictures, if available. All pictures should not include faces and should have captions that explain what is going on in the picture.

Conclusion:
My hypothesis was correct. When a student waits until the last minute, she/he begins to show signs of clinical craziness! (As do her/his parents and teacher!) I believe that from now on, all middle school students should AVOID doing a science fair project at the last minute, at the risk of going clinically insane (and to avoid putting their teacher in a funny farm!). Instead, it is my conclusion that ALL of my middle school students should give themselves plenty of time in order to do a quality, thorough job! **Remember, a conclusion has whether your hypothesis was right or wrong and WHY! Also, it has any information in it that might explain why your experiment was so significant.
