Approval of the Fall 2019 E911 Rural County Grant Application for E911 System and MapSAG Annual Support and Maintenance

Statement of Issue:

This agenda item seeks Board approval and signature on the Fall 2019 E911 Rural County Grant Application for E911 System and MapSAG Annual Support and Maintenance.

Background:

This grant is effective for application in the fall and spring of each year. If awarded, this grant continues the warranty and maintenance on the E911 system and also extends the mapping system maintenance for addressing purposes. The project goal is to provide the E911 CPE system maintenance including software protection and technical support. It is our objective to continue to maintain the County's 911 CPE and mapping system to assure that all 911 calls are answered in the County and located with accurate 911 maps.

Analysis:

The E911 Rural County Grant Program is to assist rural counties with the installation and maintenance of an Enhanced 911 (E911) system and to provide "seamless" E911 throughout the State of Florida.

Fiscal Impact:

None.

Options: 1. Approve the grant application and authorize the Chairperson to sign all related documents. 2. Do not approve. 3. Board direction.

This quote provides pricing details and ordering instructions for renewing your MapSAG annual support and maintenance services for the selected renewal period, shown below.

GIS Software Annual Support and Maintenance Services Renewal GIS software annual support and maintenance renewal may be required by some applications to maintain service and functionality; in other cases it is strongly recommended to prevent costly downtime or delays in the unlikely event of a service disruption or technical issue impacting the production environment. Timely GIS software annual support and maintenance services renewal delivers continuous and uninterrupted support and services, including:

Telephone and web-based support services during West's normal business hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time, and 12-hour callback support outside of normal business hours

Software updates not considered to be optional; software updates are typically released in six-month or nine-month intervals and may include enhanced functionality and support

Updated user guides and other related support materials as well as software updates, provided at no additional charge

Annual support and renewal periods are based on the original date of acceptance, subsequent service renewals, or previously amended service coverage periods. In the event of a lapse in service coverage, the renewal quote may include prorated fees which extend to the date of expiration.

Renewal of GIS Data and Systems Professional Services GIS services annual support and maintenance renewal provides for the continuation of contracted services as defined in the original agreement or as amended during renewal of the service agreement. The initial service period and subsequent renewal periods are defined in the current service agreement.
