Volusia Schools Kick-Off Relief Effort for Gadsden County Schools

DELAND -- Every Volusia County School student, parent and staff member is being asked to participate in the school district's relief effort for the Gadsden County School District, which was affected by Hurricane Michael. Donations are being accepted today, Monday, October 22, through Friday, October 26, and will then be presented on behalf of the entire school district to the Gadsden County School District.

Volusia County Schools is hoping to rally its 63,000 students and nearly 7,500 employees to collect more than $70,000 to help aid the Gadsden County School District in its recovery. The fundraiser is intended to help their district with costs that directly impact the classrooms and schools ? supplies, subs, etc. Schools are also being asked to share what they are doing on Twitter using #Allin.
