The Board of Directors of the Florida High School Athletic Association, Inc., met in due process hearing April 17, 2011, duly called at 1:00 p.m. at FHSAA, Robert W. Hughes Building, 1801 NW 80th Blvd, Gainesville, FL. Members of the Board and staff were present as noted.

The Executive Director requested the Board table Action Item 1 on the Governance Committee Agenda (Action Item 3.a. on the General Business Meeting Agenda), Sunshine Independent Athletic Association (SIAA) [Supplement H], to the June 13-14, 2011 Board of Directors Meeting to provide Board Members adequate time for review of documents recently received.

Motion by Mr. Wambles

Seconded by Mr. Colzie

Moved to approve a fifty percent reduction in the adjusted fine levied against Mandarin Christian School for violation of FHSAA regulations during the 2010-2011 school year. The resulting current obligation will be $49,375 to be paid in equal installments ($24,687.50) over an academic two-year period. The first installment to be paid to the Association by May 1, 2011, and the remaining installment must be paid to the Association by February 1, 2012.

The failure to meet these obligations and/or committing additional infractions and/or violations will result in the requirement of the full amount of fines and sanctions levied against Mandarin Christian School ($98,750) to be paid within 30 days of notification of the infraction/violation.

The following summarizes the non-monetary penalties assessed by the Executive Director to Mandarin Christian School:

? The MCS football program is placed on restrictive probation. The football program may not participate in state series contests for three (3) years, beginning 2011-12 and concluding June 1, 2014.

? The MCS football program is placed on restrictive probation. The football program may not participate in spring (2010) AND fall (2011) football classics/jamborees during the 2010-11 AND 2011-12 school years, respectively. MCS may conduct camps, clinics, etc., in accordance with 2010-11 Policy 24, provided the attendees only consist of students who attend MCS prior to the summer of 2011 and prior to summer 2012.

? The MCS athletic program is placed on administrative probation for three (3) school years, beginning with the 2010-11 school year, concluding June 1, 2013.

? The MCS football program is placed on administrative probation subsequent to the terms of restrictive probation, concluding June 1, 2015.

? MCS is reprimanded. ? MCS shall be represented at the 2011 and 2012 Compliance

Seminars. Failure to do so shall result in additional penalties assessed MCS.

Moved to deny the request by The Bolles School to waive the application of Policy 13.3.4 in the bracketing of the 2011 District 2 Boys' Lacrosse tournament and expand the event from four to eight schools.
