POSITION: DEAN OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES/ CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a closely related field required.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in information management, data aggregation/analysis, and generation of outcomes reports for various audiences required.

Knowledge of and demonstrated competence with the SACSCOC accreditation and compliance process preferred.

Knowledge of Federal/State/Local laws related to information security preferred. Industry recognized credentials preferred. Evidence of highly effective communication, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. Is adept in conflict

resolution, team building, and promotion of strong, collaborative interpersonal relationships. Understanding of the community college mission, commitment to diversity, demonstrated collegiality. Evidence of knowledge of public sector/higher education federal and state regulations and compliance. Documented evidence of active engagement in professional, academic, and/or community activities. Ability to work on a team in a collegial manner and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Commitment to life-long learning and relevancy in field. Active engagement in College and community activities.

DUTIES:

Lead development of a strategic direction for Information Technology Services. Ensure information security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning processes are in place

and receive regular review for currency and adequacy. Organize and develop ITS staff to efficiently deliver services across the College. Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating new technologies introduced to the campus

environment (testing, trouble-shooting, and seamless integration of services). Collaborate with administration and faculty to enhance use of technology in advancing the College's

mission. Develop, recommend, implement, and oversee strategic IT policies throughout the College Be well informed on all new developments, plans, problems, and any valid user needs that are not being

met. Coordinate and provide appropriate end-user training. Direct the College's centralized IT purchasing initiative to assist all areas of the college with selecting

appropriate technology. Coordinate and approve an annual calendar of ITS events, schedules, and reporting deadlines. Keep abreast of major areas of operation of the college, including policies and procedures, and any

changes made in these areas and appropriately inform ITS staff of any changes. Prepare annual budgets and exercise diligent and careful budgetary management. Develop and maintain priority levels by type and immediate need of reports, program changes, network

changes, and new system developments. Accountable for ensuring SACSCOC compliance in ITS.

Ensure ITS appropriately supports all areas of the College in SACSCOC and specialty accreditation compliance.

Supervise and make recommendations in the areas of promoting, hiring, terminating, and training of personnel in the Information Technology Services area.

Comply with all College Policies, ACCS Policies, and ACCS Board of Trustees Policies. Contributes to the overall success of Information Technology Services and the College by performing all

other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President.

SALARY: Salary Schedule B ? $91,457 - $126,303
