First Semester Student Report Cards

Dear Shadow Creek Parents,

This report card cycle, SCHS is piloting an ELECTRONIC report card format. Report cards are posted in Skyward Family Access instead of being mailed home. Through Family Access, students and parents can view their student's 1st semester report card. At the bottom of this email, there is an attachment that shows how to locate the report card in Family Access. If you need help with your login credentials for Skyward, or would prefer a printed copy of your student's report card, contact the SCHS main office at 281-245-3800.

If you have any questions regarding grades, please contact your student's teachers.

SCHS Final Exams Exemption Policy

The SCHS exemption policy for final exams for second semester is now in effect and tardies/attendance are included in the criteria for exemptions. So let's do our best to be at school each day and getting to class on time.

Final Exams Exemption Policy

Alvin ISD does allow students to be exempt from some finals if they meet the criteria. It is the responsibility of the student to request final exam exemption from the teacher. Students are not allowed to be exempt from fall semester

exams. Students may qualify for exam exemptions in the spring semester if they meet the following criteria:

Semester average of 85 or above for that particular class. No more than 2 absences in that class this semester. No more than 2 tardies in that class this semester. No ISS placements this semester. No outstanding campus fines or fees.

9th & 10th grade students may exempt one or more elective courses for which the exemption criteria is met. Elective courses are defined as any non-core course in which English, math, science, or social studies credit is not awarded.

11th & 12th grade students may exempt one or more final exams in any course for which exemption criteria is met.

Students enrolled in Dual Credit courses are not eligible for exam exemptions. Dual Credit courses follow the policy and guidelines set forth by the college and/or the college professor.

TSI Test Administration #2

Attention students! The TSI assessment for Dual Credit classes at SCHS has been scheduled for Saturday, January 14th at 7:45am. The test is only $15. Hurry, spaces are limited!

On January 7, 2017, the Alvin ISD Career and Technical Education Center (CTE) will hold its third Annual Career Extravaganza at Manvel High School for grades K-12. The goal of the Career Extravaganza is to expose students to various professions and to the many employment opportunities

available to them.

January is School Board Appreciation Month, which means school districts across the State of Texas will honor and celebrate this dedicated group of individuals, that spend hours upon hours tackling the enormous role of leading school districts.
