The 2021 Dawson High School Senior Prom will be held at the Galveston Convention Center at The San Luis Resort, located at 5600 Seawall Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77551 on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 8:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M.

We will be following the Convention Center's COVID-19 mitigation and safety protocols, such as mask wearing, temperature checks, spread out table placement and food served by venue staff.

Prom doors open at 8:00 P.M. Prom doors close at 10:00 P.M. No admission will be allowed after 10:00 P.M. Prom ends at 12:00 A.M. Students not driving themselves, should be picked up promptly at 12:00 A.M.

Tickets: $75.00 Per Person -Starting March 22nd? April 1st during Eagle Hour. Tickets bought the week of April 5th ? 9th will be $85.00. TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE DOOR! Only seniors may purchase Prom tickets and a school I.D. must be shown. No more than 2 tickets per senior may be purchased. Seniors must not have any outstanding fines or fees. If you leave the convention center, you cannot return. Please remember tickets, cameras, and purses before you enter!

Food: There will be appetizers, desserts, soft drinks, etc..

Dawson High School Administrators, DHS Staff, Galveston Police Department and Pearland Police Department will be on duty throughout the evening to ensure the safety of our students.

Parents, Relatives and Friends will not be allowed at the prom.

Please review this contract with your son or daughter. Every Prom attendee and their parents must complete the Prom Contract. Students will not be allowed to buy tickets without the prom contract being turned in.

Section I: Tickets

To be admitted to the Prom, you must present:

Failure to produce these items at the door will result in your not being admitted to the Prom.

Guests must be a high school student or no older than 20 years old as of April 17th. 1 You may only purchase two tickets: one for you and one for your guest. 2 To purchase a ticket for a guest that does not attend Dawson, you must provide a photocopy of their driver's license or State ID card or picture ID. The copies will be kept for record, and must be clear, unmarked and easy to read.

3 Students who are currently serving a discipline consequence of JJAEP or ALA will not be permitted to attend prom.

4 You may not swap your tickets or sell your tickets. Only the student and the registered guest of those tickets will be admitted to the prom with them.

5 No tickets will be sold after 3:00 P.M. on Friday, April 9th. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. This includes being absent on that day.

6 NO REFUNDS ON TICKETS FOR ANY REASON. 7 Tickets will not be sold at the door!

Section II: Attire -Guidelines to assist in making this a classy event:

1. Prom is a formal dress occasion. All students must be in formal attire. Failure to dress properly will result in not being admitted to the Prom.

2. No jeans allowed. 3. No beach shoes allowed. 4. Dresses must be appropriate. 5. Mask must be worn at all times in the Convention center except while eating.

It is teacher/principal discretion at Prom if we find a dress too revealing or provocative. If you are worried about your dress meeting standards, please contact Mrs. Roberts, Coach Gomez or Mrs. Zuteck prior to prom.

Section III: Conduct 1 All rules and regulations of the Pearland ISD's Student Code of Conduct will be in effect. 2 The administrators of Dawson High School reserve the right to make any other decisions needed to ensure a safe night for our students. 3 Once admitted to the Prom, you will not be allowed to leave and re-enter. THIS INCLUDES GOING TO YOUR CAR. 4 Students may not enter off-limit areas of the Convention Center. 5 Absolutely no vape devices or product, tobacco, alcohol, or drugs of any nature are permitted at the Prom. 6 Dancing must remain appropriate to a school environment. Suggestive or dangerous dancing will be stopped and those participating will be removed from the premises. 7 The parents and student assume responsibility for any accident or property damage while attending and traveling to and from the Prom.

Section IV: Guest Expectations (Guest Form must be turned in with Prom Contract if your guest is not a DHS student)

1 Guests of DHS students must be approved prior to Prom night by administration. 2 Seniors may bring non-Dawson attendees to the Prom as their date. They assume full responsibility for

their date's actions and will be required to leave with their date if this visitor is removed. 3 Rules applying to Dawson students regarding conduct and attire also apply to their dates, guests and

underclassmen.

Please Sign and Return this form when you purchase your tickets. Remember to bring your DHS Student ID, a copy of your guest's driver's license, or a photo ID. Guests of Dawson High School students must be approved prior to Prom night. Every Prom attendee and their parents must complete this form. If your guest is not a DHS Student, you must also fill out the Guest Form.
