The position will provide women empowerment and leadership on gender, taking the lead in managing, setting and communicating overall direction in gender minister’s Programs in the state especially strengthening Gender Mainstreaming in humanitarian response.The Gender Director will support the ministry to practically and strategically institutionalize integration of gender mainstreaming through whole the state.Main Responsibilities:Empower and advocate for women in political participation through capacity building.Support strengthening of existing initiative on peace and governance.Increase women’s representation in all public position and institution at all level of governance.Identify and prioritize women’s recovery and development needs.Recruitment of women in law enforcement agencies on human right training for all staff.Develop training and promotional materials in conjunction with gender expert on gender approaches.Ensure that all service is provided to survivors at the clinic are implemented in line with best practices and quality standard to GBV survivors.Monitor quality of service provision through regular feedback from clients and their families on service provided through feedback sessions, surveys and other activities.Developing concept notes and proposals from the departmentRepresenting ministry of women in meetings with line-ministries, partners and other stakeholders.Monitor, report and following up gender based violence incidencesSubmitting of weekly and monthly report.Perform any other duty assigned by the senior managementEducational Qualifications & CertificationsBachelor degree in Business Administration/Public admin, Or equivalent in Social Sciences, Gender Studies and/ or development related studies.Experience3 years’ experience in a senior management role preferably within Gender specialist with in humanitarian work with partners, preferably in an international NGO/ agency/local NGO;Skills and Competencies Leadership and People Management SkillsStrategy and Policy Development?Communication and Interpersonal SkillsNegotiation and Conflict Management SkillsComputer literacy: MS windows applications (word processing, excel, spreadsheets…)Fluent in English and SomaliHow to Apply Please click this link and download the form: Application Form after filling this form, confidential application can be addressed to recruitment.csc@iswa.so not later than 2rd June, 2019 and please attach only the form you filled.
