1. 2007 to Present – Co-owner and CEO of Larry Nelson Company, Austin, Travis County, Texas.

2. 2003 to Present: Co-owner and President of Nelson Development Company, incorporated in the State of Texas as NDCo, Inc. in 2004, to provide pre-construction services for the development of projects, both speculative and Build-To-Suit (primarily the latter), for the family account, as well as for third-party investors, on a “fee” basis, seeking single-source responsibility for creating commercial properties.

3. 1992 to 2007 – Owner, President and General Manager of Larry Nelson Company, Austin, Travis County, Texas. Incorporated as LJCo, Inc., in February, 1995. Arizona Contractor’s License No. 151861, which license is currently in active.

4. 1988 to 1992 - President and General Manager of Austin Nelson Company, Inc., a California Corporation, Vista, San Diego County, California. California Contractor’s License No. 507358. Also licensed as a California Engineering Contractor. Both licenses are currently in active.

Major Projects:

Park 1200 Industrial Park, Vista, California. 100,000 sq. ft. project consisting of 12 individual, free-standing, tilt-wall industrial condominium buildings constructed on a Design / Build basis.

Conversion of multiple buildings in Park 1200 for use by North Coast Church.

Completed the construction of a “bunkhouse” facility for the Singh family, one of the largest farming operations in northern San Diego County. The project consisted of a dormitory-type facility for 160-farm hands with a complete commercial kitchen and dining hall.

Performed Construction Management services for the construction of a 334-unit multi-family development in Rialto, California. Took the project through the permitting process and completion of construction operations.

Provided pre-construction services to explore the feasibility of constructing a major destination resort hotel in Lake ArrowHead, California for Japanese investors.

5. 1967 to 1988 - Owner and General Manager of Nelson Construction Company, Austin, Texas. Incorporated as Austin Nelson Co., Inc. in 1975. Initially active as a General Contractor in single-family and multi-family residential construction and remodeling, eventually concentrating on commercial construction in both the private and public sectors, performing both bonded and non-bonded projects.

By 1975, In 1979, completed approximately $20 million in commercial projects, primarily as Design / Build projects.

Founding President of the Central Texas Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and also served on the ABC of Texas and ABC National Board of Directors. 1980 ABC Beam Club Member of the Year. 1970 Licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, TREC license #0154097.

6. 1966 to 1967 - Staff engineer for architectural design firm of Lundgren & Maurer, A.I.A., Austin, Texas. Design and construction administration for Holiday Inn – Town Lake, Shettles Memorial Church, U.T. Power Plant addition and several out-of-state Holiday Inns.

7. 1964 to 1966 - 2nd Lt./1st Lt., United States Army Corp of Engineers, Graduate of the U.S. Army Engineer Basic Course, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.

Earthmoving Platoon Leader, “D” Company, 864th Construction Engineer Battalion. TDY Post Engineer, Fort Wolters, Texas. Assistant Post Engineer for the remodeling of the Fort Wolters Officer’s Club, NCO Club and Enlisted Man’s Club.

Civil Engineer Officer, Battalion S-3, 864th Engineer Battalion, Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam. Responsible for the design, planning and construction supervision of multiple metal buildings, command center, and support facilities in the course of the development of a major logistics depot for the Southeast Asia Theater of Operations. Bronze Star for Merit. Honorably discharged.

8. 1963 to 1964 - Area Engineer for E. I. Dupont Company, Old Hickory, Tennessee. Responsible for management of construction of 200,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility.

9. May, 1963 - Graduate of the Army R.O.T.C. program, Cadet Corp of Engineers Battalion Commander, Distinguished Military Graduate.

10. May, 1963 - Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, School of Architectural Engineering, top 1/3 of class.

11. 1958 to 1963 - Engineering student, University of Texas at Austin, married to Jimmie Lee Stewart in 1960, member of Carpenter’s Local #1266, cabinetmaker and draftsman for AAA Mill and Cabinet Shop from 1960 to 1963.

12. May, 1958 - Graduated from McAllen High School with honors, President of the Student Council, member National Honor Society, 3-year letterman in football and baseball. Second team all-district in both sports. Contacted by Cleveland Indians. Worked in Father’s cabinet shop on weekends and summers learning the trade which, eventually, allowed Larry to complete his studies at the University of Texas.

NOTE: In addition to the primary business activities listed above, Larry Nelson is also a Limited Partner in the ownership of several commercial properties in the Austin area and in Vista, California. Larry is also the General Partner in one Austin area commercial property.
