• Since 2007/2008 Visiting Lecturer at the Babes-Bolyai University, Faculty of Sociology and Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, MA program on Gender and Equal Opportunities, teaching the courses: Foundations of Gender Studies, and Family, Gender and Identity in the Age of Genetics

• Radboud University, Nijmegen in 25 June – 4 July, 2008 (in the framework of Erasmus Life-long Learning EU project) co-teaching the Interdisciplinary Gender Studies Course developed in the framework of Athena 2-3 program.

• 2004-2008 as member of Athena3 Network, “Practicing interdisciplinarity in Gender Studies” I took part in the development of an interdisciplinary gender course that has been co-thought by the group members at Radboud University, Nijmegen in 25 June – 4 July, 2008 (in the framework of Erasmus Life-long Learning EU project);

• 2004-2008 HESP course development grant for developing two courses in Gender Studies: Foundation of Gender Studies (in cooperation with Prof. Veronica Vasterling, and Family, Gender and Identity in the Age of Genetics)

• Coaching student teams at the Balkan Debate forum organized by Civic Education Project in 1999 and 2000, in Sofia, Bulgaria

• Participating in ‘Development of Teaching Methods in Social Science’ workshops organized by Civic Education Project between 1998-2001

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:

• Since 2005 carrying out research in the field of social, legal, policy and ethical aspects of biotechnologies and nanotechnologies, organ transplantation in Center for Ethics and Law in Biomedicine, CEU (GeneBanC, UNESCO, Nanoplat, EULOD projects)

• Since 2007 carrying out research in the framework of two ELPLAT (European Platform on Ethics in Organ Transplantation) working groups: organ donation and subpopulations.

• Since 2004 developing a Research Database on biomedical ethics and law at Center for Ethics and Law in Biomedicine, CEU

• 2003 - 2005 carrying out research on the topic “Normative understanding of Genetics in Europe” in the framework of EU FP5 project ‘Public Understanding of Genetics in Europe: A Cross-cultural and Ethnographic Study of the ‘New Genetics and Social Identity.’ I was member of the working group: Family, Kinship and Genetics in Europe.

• 2001-2002 carrying out policy research for the joint project of OSI Network Women Program and Education Support Program entitled ‘Gender Equity in Education’ (a comparative policy research on six countries: Albania, Azerbaijan, Romania, Poland, Tajikistan and Ukraine).

• 1999 - 2000 anthropological fieldwork on the topic ‘Family and Gender Role Related Values in Cluj, Romania’, I was conducting in-depth interviews in this topic with families from different social and ethnic backgrounds.

• 1998 anthropological fieldwork in the Council of Europe, Strasbourg in the framework of the project Anthropology of the Institutions: the Council of Europe after Enlargement, financed by the European Science Foundation and organized by Center for Social Science, Prague. My research tasks included: participant observation in the various programs organized by the Youth Directorate for young people from East Europe, conducting interviews with participants in these program and COE staff, analyzing various legal, normative provisions of the Council of Europe regarding the new member states.

• 1998 anthropological fieldwork (participant observation, in-depth interviews with the social mothers and the village's staff) at the SOS Children Village (an international, non- governmental welfare organization for orphan or abandoned children), in Kecskemet, Hungary for the MA thesis in Gender Studies entitled: ‘Negotiating Motherhood: Identity and Difference in Professional Foster Mothering’

• 1996-1997 - as a member of College for Cultural Studies, Cluj I carried out empirical research and anthropological fieldwork in Cluj for the project ‘Cluj, in the Period of Transition’ conducted by Prof. Enikő Magyari Vincze. The research resulted in an MA thesis, entitled ‘The Anthropological Analysis of the Institutions. The case of Transylvanian Business Center’.

• 1994 - specialization in qualitative and quantitative methodologies in social sciences at the Institute of Sociology, Eötvös Lóránd University, Budapest
