Student Laptops Quick SheetDescriptionThis process will guide you on how your student can gain access to their technology account with AUSD. You can complete this process at any time. We recommend getting a head start so that your student is ready for distance learning and has full access to their account.Your computer must be on your Wi-Fi network and have Internet access prior to completing these steps.Join Wireless NetworkPower on the computer.When the computer gets to the login screen, look at the lower right part of your screen and you will find a series of icons. Click the icon that looks like a globe and a menu will pop up and show you available wireless networks near you. Find your network and join your computer to the network. When you have completed this task please proceed with the login section below.LoginTo login into the computer select the “Other User” option on the lower left-hand side of the login screen.The prompt in the center of the screen will change to allow for you to put in a username and password.Login with your full email address studentID@student. and your account password.If this is the first time you are logging into your account, your password is antiochschools If this is not your first-time logging into your AUSD account skip to step 3b.When you get to a desktop locate the Red “O” icon in your taskbar. This is the Office App.Click the icon, and open the Office AppWhen you login it will ask you to sign in. Your email should be filled in, if not please enter your email address. Enter the default password.The app will lead you through the password reset process.You will be asked to enter a new password.For grades TK-5 we require at least 8 characters. We recommend simple words like vegetable or football. Keep it simple and something easy to remember. We recommend that parents write this information down for their student.For grades 6-12 we require a least 12 characters. We recommend a phrase like basketball is fun, i like baseball, I like drawing. Spaces count as a character. Store this information in a safe place.You will also be asked to select 3 questions and provide answers to them. This will allow you and/or your student the reset their password on their own. We recommend writing these down if they are needed in the future.Once this process is complete. Click the start menu on the lower left of your screen. Click the 5th icon from the bottom and select “Sign Out”You will be taken back to the login screen. Enter your email address from step 3 and your new password that you just created and sign in.You have completed your account setup process and you can skip to step 4If you have any issues with this process, please contact the Helpdesk using the information below.If you setup your account last year, but you forgot your password, you can click the Reset Password link in the middle of the login screen below the password field. This will lead you through a short process on screen which will allow you to reset your password on your own. If you receive any error in this process or are unable to see your questions, please contact the Technology Helpdesk using the information below so we can assist you with a password reset.Once logged in you will have access to a desktop.Your computer will begin to download software and settings to provide you and your student the best experience possible. Your computer is ready to use while the applications download. Depending on your Internet connection it may take some time to complete all the downloads.You can sign into applications using your AUSD email address/username and your password to login to all AUSD servicesTechnology Support InformationFor technology issues related to your students account or the operation of your computer, the best way to receive support is by submitting a ticket. Our ticketing system is open 24/7 for submissions. You can open a web browser and navigate to . You can sign in with your student’s username and password to access our system and be guided through a ticket creation process. You can also use the website to check the status of previously submitted tickets.You can also send an email to support@. Please put a brief summary of your issue in the subject and a more detailed description of your issue in the body of your email. Please also include contact information so we can get back to you. You can also call the Helpdesk at 925.779.7676 to receive support over the phone. If an agent does not answer, please leave us a voicemail with your issue and contact information and an agent will get back to you as soon as possible. These will help households with no access to the Internet to connect using AUSD network resources. Below you will find images of the hotspot locations and estimated coverage areas. Each location marked with an “X” is the hotspot location, with estimated service area inside the nearby circle. AUSD cannot guarantee service quality at any time but a best effort will be made to ensure the operation of the equipment is of the highest quality.Deer Valley High SchoolAntioch High SchoolParent Technology Training WebinarsDescriptionThe AUSD Technology Department will be offering parents a series of webinars designed to help navigate the technology and services being offered to our students. Subjects will include basic information on how to use our platforms, how to contact the technology department for support and provide guidance on how to use technology being provided by AUSD effectively. It will be a great opportunity for parents to learn more about technology and help parents obtain skills to assist and support their students while distance learning.The first two webinars in this series will be taking place on August 19th from 6PM-7PM and again on August 26th from 12-1PM. All parents are invited. There will be Q&A time allotted at the end of each webinar where feedback can be given for future topics. The webinars will be focused on technical skills and usage of our technology. They will be English and will be translated in real time using the Microsoft Teams platform for Spanish speakers.We will continue to announce future webinars for parents as the school year continues to further support our parents and their students. ................
