 Introduction

With the Covid 19 Pandemic, it is now more important than ever to look after our wellbeing. We have all experienced disruptions to our everyday lives and routines, we have limited and in some cases, no interactions with our family and friends. We recognise that this can be extremely challenging and it can prove hard to stay positive.

Carlow Age Friendly have developed this Wellbeing Pack for you to enjoy. We hope it encourages you to take some time to focus on your mental wellbeing, stay connected and stay active. We hope you enjoy the Active at Home pack, Covid 19 Time Capsule, recipes, mindfulness, puzzles, activities, resources to help you stay connected online, information on opportunities, supports and services available for you.

For most of us going out and about on a daily basis is an essential part of our daily routine. Services that would normally be in place such as day centres, community and social activities are suspended. It is very important that we all keep positive and look after our mental health and wellbeing. This new way of life has been challenging for most of us but none the less we understand that this is essential if we are to remain safe. Keeping busy will help us all feel good.

Carlow Age Friendly Committee would like to thank Age Friendly Fingal Alliance for the sharing of their resource "Cocooning-A collection of activities for the self-isolating". It has been hugely beneficial in helping us develop this Carlow Age Friendly Wellbeing Pack, Thank You.

There is something for everyone in the booklet, we do hope that you will enjoy the activities we have pulled together for you and that it cheers you up a little.

Take care and stay safe
