News and Views…

Welcome to another week at School.

Surf Fun Day...

Our Year 6 children ventured to Towoon Bay for a day of fun and excitement, learning beach skills.

Although the wind and surf conditions were not as hoped, the children had a great day and were a credit to our school.

Children participated in ‘mock’ rescues and using surfboards. Each group played games showing agility and fitness in the sand.

We hope to repeat this worthwhile day next year.

Upcoming Leaders…

All CV’s completed by our prospective leaders will be viewed and analysed by all of our teachers next Monday.

Teachers will select the most suitable applications to be viewed by our School Council the following Wednesday. We wish all our future leaders great success, and commend them on their progress and application to their tasks over the last 8 weeks.

Public Speaking…

Our Public Speaking Final will be held this Friday during our normal assembly time. This will be the culmination of a very successful Public Speaking Program organised by Mrs See. Each year we are seeing greater scope and confidence displayed by our public speakers. Good Luck Finalists!

Kinder Orientation…

Our Orientation Program continues next week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. This week’s orientation program has been a great success, and has certainly shown Mrs Kingham some characters. We are hoping to have 2 Kindergarten classes next year. In Week 5 we are hosting Kindergarten Parent talks on Thursday November 10 at 9.30am.

Uniforms…

It is great to see so many of our children wearing their school uniforms each and every day. Our P&C have new shorts for both boys and girls as we head towards summer. These shorts were chosen as they provide comfort and are quite stylish, allowing the children room to move whilst playing sport in the playground. Please visit our Uniform shop on a Tuesday afternoon if you require new uniforms.

K/1L were all very excited about Halloween so we made scary pumpkins to decorate our classroom.

Half of our class went trick or treating.

Paige wrote about her night, ' When I went trick or treating I saw Jordi and she was dressed as a devil. I also saw Jamie and his mum was dressed as a ghost.'
