TRAVEL GUIDELINES
TRAVEL GUIDELINES
Remember, we are representing Oregon Rainbow!!!
1. Dues Card – a must for wherever you travel!!!
2. Grand Cross – your Card & Medallion need to accompany you. White or light pastel colored dress needed. If you have Grand Cross you should attend out-of-state Grand Cross functions.
3. Health/Medical/Permission Slips – both girls and adults need to complete the forms and turn them into the Tour Director BEFORE traveling. (Can’t get on plane or in car without it turned in.) Some out-of-state jurisdictions you visit might require their own to be completed.
4. Dress Code – neat pants, capri’s, divided skirt or long walking shorts for travel and fun (no jeans or black). Remember, hose must be worn with all formals and pantaloons if wearing a hoop. Bring extra formal besides traveling formal. No hoops at Supreme!!!
A short dress or skirt and blouse can be worn around the arena and if we go out to dinner in the evening – this includes Supreme practice sessions.
FOR SUPREME ASSEMBLY – Slacks and shorts may not be worn in the hotel at any time during the Supreme Assembly Sessions. Neat walking shorts or slacks may be worn only on arrival and departure from the hotel, or when going to and from local activities (fun and tours). Shorts are not to be worn at any time. Remember, this is a Rainbow Convention so govern yourself accordingly. Wherever you go, whatever you do, however you behave, the public is forming its opinion of Rainbow through you!
5. Electronic Devices – Cell phones, pagers, cameras, etc. Be sure to put your names on your devices. Don’t forget batteries & chargers. ABSOLUTELY NO cell phones or pagers in arena areas; before, during or after sessions; at banquets, group dinners or events.
6. Bathing suits, slippers or shoes, and cover-ups should be brought by you – pools are usually available and fun to use!!!
7. There will be one adult chaperone for every four girls. Remember no girl leaves the hotel area without a chaperone. And use the buddy system—two girls together, wherever they go – even from hotel room to hotel room (no pajamas in the hotel hallways). If attending an out-of-state Grand Assembly or other function at least one adult should attend.
8. Long distance phone calls from your hotel – most hotel phones are blocked. Adults can arrange for theirs to be activated. Mrs. Felder or other designated adult will be available for emergencies.
9. Last, but not least – everyone attends all sessions regardless of whether you have been up all night and are sleepy. Don’t ask to stay in your room the next day. If you are sick check in with the designated adult before deciding not to attend.
Traveling and visiting places are fun opportunities for everyone if everyone goes by the above guidelines. Remember we are Oregon Rainbow!!!
BE HAPPY!!!
