"An artful, engaging and often amusing cinematic memoir...The notoriously private bass player opens up to the camera, revealing the icons who inspired him to be a musician, from Chuck Berry and Ray Charles to Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf." --Lucy Mukerjee, TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL

Throughout his three-decade career as a founding member of and bassist for The Rolling Stones, Bill Wyman was known to the world as the "quiet one" in the band. His taciturn responses in press conferences beside his flamboyant and outspoken bandmates are hilarious. Now at long last, the famously private music legend speaks out about his extraordinary life and experiences as part of "the greatest rock and roll band in the world." A lifelong fanatical collector of memorabilia, Wyman has an astounding collection of all things Rolling Stones: photos, posters, buttons, guitars, outfits, cameras, tapes, recordings, and movie footage. Opening up his vast personal archive--a lifetime's worth of previously unseen material--Wyman reflects on his early years with The Stones, the band's meteoric rise to fame, and his search for a sense of "normalcy" amidst the whirlwind of sex, drugs and rebellion. Endearingly humble and down-to-earth, Wyman pulls back the curtain to offer a one-of-a-kind perspective on life as a reluctant rock star. Directed by Oliver Murray. (UK, 2019)

The Reports on Sarah and Saleem

STARTS FRIDAY, JULY 12 ? ONE WEEK

"Enjoyably shaggy...Maron leads a small ensemble like a natural." --John DeFore, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER "A wild journey into the depths of conspiracy theory and Southern disillusionment." --SXSW Film Festival

This shaggy-dog tale features celebrated comedian and podcaster Marc Maron as Mel, a philosophical pawnshop owner in small-town Alabama with a not-very-helpful man-child employee Nathaniel (Jon Bass). Cynthia (Jillian Bell) and Mary (Michaela Watkins), a lesbian couple, bring in a Civil War-era sword to sell, Cynthia's only inheritance from her grandfather, who claimed it proved the South had won the war. Mel makes them a low-ball offer which they reject, but a quick internet search by Nathaniel reveals that the sword could sell for big bucks to the right buyer, and the four band together in an unlikely alliance to pursue a fortune. Their journey takes the ragtag bunch into danger on a tour through the Deep South and into the minds of conspiracy theorists and fans of revisionist history. Created from the raw talent of its able cast and infused with a lot of heart and laughs, SWORD OF TRUST takes a stab at uncovering emotional truths through moments of hilarity and hits right on the mark. Directed by Lynn Shelton (HUMPDAY, OUR SISTER'S SISTER). (USA, 2019)

"Engrossing...[A] taut psychosocial drama with political thriller elements."--VARIETY

"Impressive and naturalistic performances."--Wendy Ide, SCREEN INTERNATIONAL

"Beautifully observed...A morally complex film where political tensions seep into everyday life in unexpected ways."--Jennie Kermode, EYE FOR FILM

Though from completely different worlds, Sarah (Sivane Kretchner), an Israeli caf? owner living in West Jerusalem, and Saleem (Adeeb Safadi), her Palestinian bread vendor and deliveryman who lives in East Jerusalem, have a clandestine affair. Just being seen together in public arouses suspicion, and a risky late-night tryst brings them to police attention. Saleem is arrested and tries to free himself by telling dangerous lies. A not uncommon betrayal takes on an entirely sinister new twist as Israeli and Palestinian authorities misread the writing on the wall. Both of their spouses are drawn in: Sarah's controlling army officer husband and Saleem's pregnant wife Bisan (Maisa Abd Elhadi), who begins to take more charge of her life. Muayad Alayan's gripping psychological thriller, handsomely shot in widescreen, is filled with dark, entirely believable intrigue that gives new meaning to the adage the personal is political. Produced by two brothers, director Muayad and screenwriter Rami Musa Alayan, based on true events. Winner of the Audience Award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. (Palestine/ Netherlands/Germany/Mexico, 2018)

"Psychologically complex, emotionally compelling."--Sarah Ward, SCREEN DAILY

"A wild feature...One thing is for sure: you won't look at your innocent family vacation the same way after watching this film."--Kate Erbland, INDIEWIRE

"A tense, gripping, expertly made three-hander that tests conflicting ideas of fatherhood in the crucible of a mountainside vacation."--Jessica Kiang, VARIETY

On a seemingly idyllic summer vacation in the spectacular Italian Dolomites, a man courts the acceptance of his girlfriend's young son, trying to bond as a new family. Fatherhood, suspicion and resentment are a combustible formula in writer/director Jan Zabeil's tightly-wound family drama turned harrowing survival thriller. Handsome German architect Aaron (Alexander Fehling, THE CAPTAIN, LABYRINTH OF LIES) has found the woman of his dreams in his French girlfriend of two years, Lea (B?r?nice Bejo, THE ARTIST, THE PAST), but her precocious eight-year-old son Tristan (Arian Montgomery) still imagines that she will reconcile with his American father. In Aaron's mountain cabin this unstable triangle becomes increasingly strained as Aaron fights to win over Tristan and cement his place in this family, while Lea wrestles with conflicting loyalties to her son and her lover. Yet when Tristan disappears into the mountains, it's unclear who is in the most danger. Complex, deceptive and gripping to the last moment, THREE PEAKS delivers an emotional knockout. "A movie clearly intended to entertain, and which gripped like a vice from beginning to end...Casting non-professional actors pays dividends, with Francesco Di Napoli especially impressive as Nicola."--Geoff Andrew, SIGHT & SOUND

HHHH! "A powerful and potent snapshot of adolescence today...There's a realism to the film which provides real stakes for our protagonists, whilst still enabling a cinematically spectacular style."--Charlie David Page, SWITCH

Based on the novel by Roberto Saviano (GOMORRAH), PIRANHAS tells the story of a group of teenage boys discovering guns and girls and the heady excitement of power, with no sense of consequences. Fifteen-year-old Nicola (a charismatic performance from newcomer Francesco Di Napoli), lives with his mother and younger brother in the Sanit? neighborhood of Naples, a place that has been controlled by the Camorra mafia for centuries. Ambitious to get ahead, Nicola becomes a debt-collector for the local mafia gang. Dreaming of a life lush with designer clothing and elite nightclubs, Nicola and his na?ve group of friends begin selling drugs--an entryway into the violent, power-hungry world of crime that becomes all-consuming, threatening their innocence, their relationships and the safety of their families. When a major police bust leaves a power vacuum in the local criminal scene, Nicola and his gang seize the opportunity to take charge. Winner, Best Screenplay, 2019 Berlin Film Festival. STARTS FRIDAY, AUGUST 30 ? ONE WEEK

JULY 5 ? SEPTEMBER 5, 2019

"An essential, often harrowing exploration of China's decades-long one-child policy." --Manohla Dargis, THE NEW YORK TIMES

"A thoroughly gripping and ceaselessly unnerving investigation...Wang's film is intimate, thought-provoking and well-crafted."--Gary Garrison, THE PLAYLIST

China's One Child Policy, the rigid population control measure in force for over thirty years that made it illegal for couples to have more than one child, ended in 2015, but the process of dealing with the trauma of its brutal enforcement is only just beginning. From award-winning documentarian Nanfu Wang (HOOLIGAN SPARROW, I AM ANOTHER YOU) and Jialing Zhang, the sweeping ONE CHILD NATION explores the ripple effect of this devastating social experiment, uncovering one shocking human rights violation after another: abandoned newborns, forced sterilizations and abortions, government abductions, and a lucrative adoption-to-foreigners market. Returning to China from America with the perspective of being a new mother, Wang digs fearlessly into her own personal life, obtaining eye-opening firsthand accounts from her family members and neighbors. ONE CHILD NATION is a stunning, in-depth indictment of the mindset that prioritizes national agenda over human life--bearing witness to the truth as China has already begun to erase the horrors of its "population war" from public record and memory. Winner, Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary, 2019 Sundance Film Festival. (USA, 2019)

"Rich portrait of a gifted, curious, complicated man with a life full of promise." --Stephen Farber, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pine, John Cho, and many more friends and colleagues give revealing insights into his character and

talent, recalling that he was a positive influence on everyone around him. Born in the Soviet Union to a family of professional figure skaters,

Anton and his parents came to the U.S. when he was six months old. He grew up in a remarkably loving and supportive home, illustrated by

and for family. And a willingness to explore the darker parts of himself. LOVE, ANTOSHA lets viewers get to know this extraordinary person

the world was cheated from seeing grow old. Directed by Garret Price and co-produced by Drake Doremus, who directed Yelchin in LIKE

"One of the most honestly disturbing and provocative nonfiction films in years." --Owen Gleiberman, VARIETY

"A category-defying investigative documentary that's also a playfully self-reflexive essay on political truth and the difficulty of establishing it."--Jonathan Romney, SCREEN DAILY

In 1961, United Nations Secretary-General Dag Hammarskj?ld's plane mysteriously crashed in what was then Northern Rhodesia, killing

Hammarskj?ld and fifteen others. With the case still unsolved fifty-plus years later, Danish journalist, filmmaker and provocateur Mads Br?gger

(THE RED CHAPEL, THE AMBASSADOR) leads us down an investigative rabbit hole to unearth the truth. Scores of false starts, dead ends and elusive

interviews later, Br?gger and his sidekick, dogged Swedish researcher G?ran Bj?rkdahl, begin to sniff out something more monumental than

anything they'd initially imagined. In his signature agitprop style, Br?gger becomes both filmmaker and subject, challenging the very nature

of truth by "performing" the role of truth seeker. As Br?gger uncovers a critical secret that could send shockwaves around the world, we realize

that sometimes absurdity and irony are the emboldening ingredients needed to confront what's truly sinister. Wildly unexpected and deeply

provocative, COLD CASE HAMMARSKJ?LD is winner of the Directing Award for World Cinema (Documentary) at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
