Join us in celebrating Girl Scouts all month long!

Patches may be purchased at any GSNETX Retail location beginning in March.

1. Create a Birthday Box

Help others celebrate a birthday! Many youth and the elderly don't have the chance to have a birthday party, so let's bring the party to them! You and your Girl Scout sisters can build and deliver a Birthday Box to a local agency such as a nursing home, children's advocacy center, or women's shelter.

Birthday Box Ingredients:

1 No Bake Dessert OR 1 box cake mix and frosting 1 package of birthday candles 1 supply of party ware (plates, cups, forks, napkins) 1 small birthday gift (child or elderly, either gender) 1 birthday card 1 festive set of party decorations (streamers, balloons, party hats)

Learn the importance of March 12th, the story of how Girl Scouting began, and 3 fun facts about Juliette Gordon Low.

3. Celebrate Girl Scouts all week!

Complete any 3 of the activities below between Sunday, March 8 to Saturday, March 14 Show your Girl Scout spirit! Wear green on March 12th to show your Girl Scout pride! Take a picture and share it on social media #GSBirthday Live the Girl Scout Promise and Law! Find 3 ways to incorporate it into your day. Check out a Girl Scout History Kit through Programs on Demand and complete the activities included. Participate in a Girl Scout birthday party or event. Celebrate Girl Scout Sunday or Sabbath. You might participate in a religious service, earn the "My Promise, My Faith" pin, or serve God or your country in your own way. Earn a STEM Seal of Approval patch or new STEM Badge. Make the world a better place! Give back to your community by volunteering with a local organization. For ideas on where, check out page 31 of the GPS. Explore the Outdoors! You might go on a hike, canoe, fish, or earn an Outdoor Badge. Make a SWAP for your Girl Scout sisters. Learn 3 Girl Scout songs. Consider earning your Girls of Note patch. Go international! Learn about WAGGGS and the 5 World Centers. Learn about Girl Scouting in 3 other countries. What are they called? How are their uniforms the same or different? Make a Girl Scout snack. You might make S'mores, GORP, or use Girl Scout cookies in a dessert.
