In obtaining and using Lincoln County GIS data, you are agreeing to the following restrictions:
Specific Restrictions:
1. Government entities, Educational entities or Cooperating Public Utilities: you will not resale, redistribute, nor perform work for the benefit of a third party using the Lincoln County GIS data.
2. All other entities: you will not resale or redistribute the Lincoln County GIS data.
3. All requests for the Rural Addressing layer or database require a signed request.
General Disclaimer and Restrictions for all entities:
1. In the case that any kind of documents are created using the Lincoln County GIS data, you will make a note on or within the document that you received the data from Lincoln County Wyoming. If you have edited the Lincoln County GIS data to fit your needs, you will explicitly list that you received the data from Lincoln County Wyoming, but that you alone are responsible for your edits or changes.
2. Lincoln County shall not be held responsible for any misrepresentation or adjustment of the Lincoln County GIS data through data manipulation, tabular edits or spatial edits.
3. The Lincoln County Planning Office in conjunction with the Lincoln County Assessor's Office shall not be held responsible for inappropriate or incorrect use of this information. a. The Lincoln County GIS data is mapping grade not survey grade. b. The Lincoln County GIS data is for informational purposes only and should not be used to determine precise boundaries, parcel boundaries, nor legal descriptions. The Lincoln County GIS data shall not be construed to be an official survey.
4. The Lincoln County GIS data is the most up-to-date and most accurate information available at the time of distribution. As with all GIS data, the Lincoln County GIS data is dynamic and is always changing. It is your responsibility to contact us if you need future updates. a. NOTE: Should the Parcel layer be included in this distribution, please be aware that the Lincoln County Assessor's office maintains this layer to mirror the Lincoln County Taxation database. There is a brief period within the year where all data entry and/or parcel maintenance is locked to
maintain the integrity and accuracy of both databases. Because of this, the Parcels layer is usually a couple months behind.
5. The Lincoln County GIS data is distributed as is. We will not change the format or projection to meet your needs. a. The Lincoln County GIS data is provided in ESRI shapefile format in NAD 83 State Plane Wyoming West (feet). b. The included metadata contains specific information regarding the attribute fields.
