Fortune 500 companies list 2018 pdf

The Annual Ranking of Fortune 500 Companies, also known as Global 500, is the annual ranking of the top 500 companies worldwide as measured by revenue. The list is compiled and published annually by Fortune Magazine. The methodology was introduced until 1989 only for non-United States industrial companies under the international 500, while the list of 500 still included united States companies alone. In 1990, United States companies were added to prepare a truly global list of large industrial companies as arranged by sales. Since 1995, the list has had its current form, also including major financial companies and service providers in terms of revenue. Controversy several contradictions exist in fortune arrangement of cities with the most luck 500 headquarters. On June 3, 2011, the Atlanta Business Chronicle cited examples of Fortune magazine including the regional headquarters of some cities, with the exception of the regional headquarters of other cities and in some cases with the exception of headquarters that are actually located within the city limit. [1] Geographical distribution since 2001, there has been a significant change in the geographical distribution of companies in the Global 500 ranking. The number of North American-based companies decreased from 215 in 2001 to 143 in 2017 [required martyrdom] and the contribution of Asian companies increased rapidly from 116 in 2001 to 197 in 2017 [required martyrdom]. Most of this growth is due to the rapid increase in the number of 500 Chinese global companies, of which 109 by 2017, up from only 10 in 2001. The share of European-based companies also fell from 158 to 143 during the same period. [2] [3] [4] Fortune 500's list for 2020 is below the top 10 companies.
