The tab of interest is Accounts and import, which contains Import Mail and Contacts option:38102921000left37401500When selected, this option opens configuration dialog:On top of the dialog, the TIES e-mail address should be entered, in the form of firstname.lastname@ties.itu.int381044767500After pressing continue, the dialog asks for account options: POP username is your TIES username, usually your last name.POP server is ties.itu.int, port is 110 (usually already set as default)Pressing continue leads to the next step, on which multiple options can be selected:381029146500Import mail: this is an option that needs to be selected in order to import messages from your TIES e-mail.Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server: this option enables messages to be visible both in Gmail and TIES e-mail client. Optionally you can tick this if you wish to preserve messages on TIES, otherwise leave unticked.Archive incoming messages (Skip the inbox): Stores messages from TIES mailbox in special folder, called ArchivedAdd label to all imported mail: in order to differentiate between mails coming from TIES mailbox from ones coming to your Gmail account, you can set a label by which you will easily recognize them. By default, it is set to be your TIES e-mail address, but it can be changed to any text. Password is your TIES password.32385118999000You can choose to import your TIES e-mails into existing folders, keeping the same existing structure you had in your TIES e-mail account, while “Create a new folder…” will create a special new folder in which you will have separated e-mails from your e-mails (will be shown at the end of this tutorial). Under Advanced Settings, tick “Manually configure account settings”.
