Online Text: Students will use their DCPS username and password to utilize the online student edition, which can be accessed by the following: Go to , scroll over "Popular Links" and click on "Blended Learning", and then scroll down to "Ed Your Friend in Learning" and click on the ICON for it, click on Grade 6 at the top. This online resource is the complete program with extra online activities; therefore, there is no need to carry a heavy book home! ?Materials: A composition notebook, #2 pencils (NO PENS), hand-held pencil sharpener with shaving container, and personal headphones (ear buds).Corrective Intervention Plan: Students must follow the above rituals and routines. Failure to do so will result in one of the following below. (CHAMPS classroom strategies are utilized in my classroom). Champs is an acronym that details the expectations for conversation, help, activity, movement, participation, and success.Verbal warningTime out and student/teacher conference Contact parent or guardian (phone, home referral, email)After-school detention Tuesday and/or ThursdayDiscipline referral to the House Administrator Conferences: Please contact the Guidance Office, Ms. Corbat, to schedule a conference. Student Safety Nets: Student conferencing, group work, intervention specialists, alternative assessments, and computer-based programs.Daily Routine: Each class period will cover the state standards with a teacher demonstration and a differentiated student activity to show an assessment of that standard.Course Requirements: Students are expected to attend class, complete classwork and the District iReady requirement of 2 lessons passed per week. Make-up work is expected to be completed upon return.Progress: Progress reports are distributed at designated times during the year. Scholarship warnings are given if a student’s grade drops below a “C”. Students who receive a “D” or ‘F” on a test will be eligible to complete test corrections and/or retake it.
