Meditation:
“While U Wait…”
Our Psalm says, “I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning.” At this moment the entire world is waiting for the coronavirus pandemic to end. For many, life has come to a standstill while they wait and worry. Psalm 130 tells us that even while we wait, “in his word I put my hope.” Right now, like a watchman hoping and waiting for the morning, you can put your hope in God’s promises. And while we wait God alters us, and so we learn “While U Wait…”
1) I look to God’s land—His place, plan & purpose for me!
Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it…’” Ezekiel 37:12-14
2) I look to the Spirit’s life—His “new life” power for me!
Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. Romans 8:2-3
3) I look to Jesus’ love—God’s Person for Lazarus, and me!
Jesus wept. Then [they] said, “See how he loved him!” John 11:35-36
