Thomas Sutherland (DETROIT, CLASS 1961) is still heavily involved in World Wide Marriage Encounter; K of C; and assisting at several parishes.Rev. Doug Brougher (NEW ORLEANS, CLASS 1963) is NOT RETIRED (as reported the last Nova) but still very active as a Hospital Chaplain.Dr. Donald Casey (BROOKLYN, CLASS 1963) advises that the Class of 1963 will hold a reunion at Mundelein Seminary in October of this year.Msgr. Dick Liddy (NEWARK, CLASS 1963, CASA 1967) continues to collect stories of Bernard Lanagan’s influence on alumni of NAC. All contributions are welcome. He is also writing a book on John Henry Newman’s influence on Lanagan, who called Newman “very fundamental mentor and guide”.Rev. John “Larry” Richardt (INDIANAPOLIS, CLASS 1963) is an Adjunct Spiritual Director at the Bishop Brute College Seminary in Indianapolis.Prof. Edwin Schroeder (NEW ORLEANS, CLASS 1963) visited classmate from Germanicum, Dr. Wilfried Hagemann in Bocholt and Hachen, Germany in April 2019.Rev. Clyde Lewis, Jr. (OGDENSBURG, CLASS 1965) though 80 years old, still pastor of 2 parishes with over 1200 families. He also has a new shoulder, new knee and 2 pacemakers!! Oldest active pastor in Ogdensburg.Most Rev. Paul Loverde (ARLINGTON, CLASS 1966) enjoying retirement. Had a right knee total replacement and still is available to help out at parishes, give days of prayer, retreats, and spiritual direction.Very Rev. Michael Ryan (SEATTLE, CLASS 1967) is currently completing his 31st year as pastor of the St. James Cathedral in Seattle.Rev. Robert Meissner (SAGINAW, CLASS 1970) had successful Pancreatic Cancer Surgery on October 17, 2018 at University of Michigan Hospital, but still has a long road to recovery.Msgr. Mark Svarczkopf (INDIANAPOLIS, CLASS 1974) will retire on July 3, 2019 and move to his retirement home in Lake Placid, FL. He will continue to help out in parishes in Indianapolis and Lake Placid.Msgr. Thomas Barry (HARTFORD, CASA 1975, ICTE 2010) was named Chaplain of His Holiness on February 24, 2019.Rev. Thomas Sas (HARTFORD, CLASS 1975) has been renewed as pastor for another six years effective 7/18 by his Archbishop Leonard Blair (also CLASS 1975).Rev. Patrick Dolan (LOUISVILLE, CLASS 1978) is retiring in June and will begin a fellowship at KU LEUVEN, Belgium to explore scientific approaches to faithful Catholic theology to appeal to a younger generation demanding such.Msgr. Francis Blood (ST. LOUIS, CLASS 1979) was assigned as pastor of Holy Rosary Parish in Warrenton, Missouri on June 28, 2018Rev. Daniel Kampschneider (OMAHA, CLASS 1979, CASA 1997) received the Spirit of Father Flanagan Award at Boy’s Town, Omaha on September 25, 2018.Msgr. Bernard McGarry (LA CROSSE, CASA 1979) raised $55,000 for Wisconsin Flood Relief.Rev.Francis Santilli (PROVIDENCE, CLASS 1979, ICTE S’2006) on January 1, 2019 was appointed Dean (Vicar Forane) of Northwest Deanery 8 – Diocese of Providence.Dr. Robert Deahl (MILWAUKEE, CLASS 1980) after serving as Dean of the College of Professional Studies at Marquette University for 20 years, retired and was named Dean Emeritus at Marquette.Rev. George Baker (NEW YORK, CLASS 1981) celebrating his 6th year as pastor of St. Mary Parish, Obernburg, one of the Archdiocese’s most rural parishes.Rev. Stephen Vellenga (CLEVELAND, CLASS 1981, ICTE 2000) in July, 2018 visited the Mission Diocese San Ignacio Velasco, Bolivia where Bishop Robert Flock, (CLASS 1982) is ordinary. This was after the CAM V-Mission Congress Rev. Kenneth Del Priore (SAN DIEGO, CLASS 1983) will retire on July 1, 2019.Rev. Kevin Laughery (SPRINGFIELD, CLASS 1983, CASA 1985) is starting a Commonwealth discussion group for the St. Louis Metro East area.Msgr. Edmund Whalen (NEW YORK, CLASS 1984, CASA 1995) appointed Vicar for Clergy January 1st.Rev. Russell Smith (RICHMOND, CASA 1987) was President Emeritus Natl. Catholic Bioethics Center; Vice-Rector, Dean of Formation, Prof. Moral Theology, Mt St. Mary Seminary, Emmittsburg, MD; and Diocesan Theologian – All Emeritus, Richmond. Is now retired and disabled w/Multiple Sclerosis.Mr. Michael Welch (WASHINGTON, CLASS 1989) began 2019 with his election as Chairman/President of the Chamber of Commerce and continuing his duties as an elected Commissioner in Eastern Lee County.Mr. James Bird (ERIE, CLASS 1990, CASA 1992) was hired as Senior Director of HBK High Performance, a new division of HBK CPA & Consultants with over 630 employees and 20 locations.Mr. Eric Russ (EVANSVILLE, CLASS 1990) is glad to have PNAC Alum Most Rev. Joseph Siegel (CLASS 1988) as the new Bishop of Evansville. Had opportunity to visit with PNAC classmates Rev. Terence Moran and Tom Curran in Boston last summer.Mr. William Whalen (HARTFORD, CLASS 1991) is Vice President in Human Capital Management at Goldman Sachs.Rev. William Siple (PITTSBURGH, CLASS 1992) as of Oct. 15, 2018 the Diocese of Pittsburgh began a re-organization of parishes called “On Mission for the Church Alive”. He was appointed Senior Parochial Vicar of 7 parishes all in Lawrence County. Eventually these parishes will become one with a new name and 3 buildings to remain open.Most Rev. Michael Duca (BATON ROUGE, CASA 1996) was installed as Bishop of Baton Rouge on August 24, 2018. He was formerly Bishop of Shreveport.Rev. John Lendvai (PITTSBURGH, CLASS 1994) is currently administrator of Six parishes in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania.Very Rev. Thomas Baima (CHICAGO, CASA 2000) serves on the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity’s delegation to the Joint Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Assyrian Church of the East, which presented the Common Statement on the Sacramental Life to Pope Francis in November, 2018. Rev. Steven Beseau (KANSAS CITY-KANSAS, CASA 2006) as of July 1, 2019 he will be the President/Rector of the Pontifical College Josephinum.Rev. Joseph Taphorn (OMAHA, CASA 2002) was named Rector of the Saint Paul Seminary in the Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis effective January 1, 2019.Mr. Karl Bissinger (FALL RIVER, CLASS 2005) is continuing work as hospice chaplain/bereavement coordinator since July 2016.Rev. Charles Slisz (BUFFALO, ICTE S’2006) is hosting the annual reunion of members of the ICTE S’2006 Session on July 1-5, 2019.Rev. Richard Beligotti (ROCHESTER, ICTE F’2009, F’2018) was delighted in attending the ICTE F’2018 Module, “The First Art of the Church: Mosaics in Rome and Sicily”. It was an eye-opening artistically magnificent experience which clearly showed us that fine art reveals the beauty, truth and goodness of our Catholic Faith.Rev. Brandon Macadaeg (OAKLAND, CLASS 2013) successfully merged the parishes of St. Lawrence O’Toole and St. Paschal Baylon into one new unified parish, Divine Mercy Parish established Jan 1, 2019. Rev. Wayne Jenkins (LOUISVILLE, ICTE F’2015) while residing at Holy Trinity parish is providing sacramental and liturgical assistance at Holy Trinity and Holy Name parishes in Louisville, KY. Rev. Gustavo Castillo (LOS ANGELES, CASA 2016) will have his doctoral thesis published soon by IPF under the title “Shepherding the Family of God: The Spirituality of Diocesan Priests in St. John of Avila”Rev.
