So perhaps it should come as no surprise then that the hack-and-slash features a secret level that Diablo fans should be very familiar with -- the Secret Cow level.The Secret Cow level, also known as the Moo Moo Farm, was featured in Diablo II. By combining Wirt's Leg and a Tome of Town Portal in the Horadric Cube, players could teleport to this secret level filled with Hell of Bovines: bipedal catle with polearms. The Secret Cow level was known for its difficulty but generous loot.In Minecraft Dungeons, you'll be attacked by Mooshrooms, slow-moing fungus cows. At the end, you'll face the Mooshroom Monstrosity boss.How to unlock the Secret Cow Level in Minecraft DungeonsTo unlock the Secret Cow Level in Minecraft Dungeons, you need to find nine runes that appear throughout the game after you complete the campaign on default difficulty. There is one rune in each mission. After finding them all, you'll see a new path open up at your camp listed as "???". This is the secret cow level.Creeper WoodsAfter you rescue multiple villagers, walk towards the bottom-left (southwest) area where you'll find a flat stone platform and cobblestone ruins. Stand on the plate and it will open, taking you inside. Press the button and collect the rune.Soggy SwampAfter beating the boss at the end of the level, make your way towards the exit. You'll see a stone column with a button hidden within mushrooms at its base. An entrance to the rune will open when press it.Cacti CanyonThe button for the rune is located left of the gate where the Blue Key is. It's hidden in the shrubs near the water.Pumpkin PasturesAbout halfway through the level, you'll see a large stone wall. Walk across it and you'll come across some wooden boxes. The button to the rune is hidden behind them.Redstone MinesAfter rescuing the six villagers for the second time, you can find the button towards the top left of the room, hidden behind a redstone deposit and the corner of the wall.Desert TempleAfter collecting the Gold Key, search for the nearby room with the palm tree in it. The switch for the rune is hidden behind the tree.Fiery ForgeLocated towards the beginning of the level, look for the dead Redstone Golem when you enter the forge. The lever to the rune is right next to it.Highblock HallsAfter defeating the first wave of enemies summoned by the Arch-Illager, head towards the outside marketplace where it's raining. When you get outside, go towards the right and stay in that direction until you come upon the switch that leads to the rune.Obsidian PinnacleHead inside the castle, clear it out and find the library. Towards the back of the room, you'll see a bookshelf between two tables. Interact with it and collect the final rune.Finding the Secret Cow LevelOnce you have found all of the runes and beat the campaign on the default difficulty, head back to the Camp area and find the hidden fort towards the south-east of the main area. The raised drawbridge now has springs that allow you to jump across to the other side.Continue on the path and you'll come across an incomplete Nether portal. A small, path is hidden between the trees towards the southwest. Go through this hidden path and you'll come across a church. Inside the room, you'll see the glowing rooms that you've collected. Not a lot to do on this stage but marvel at the scenery and pick up the available chests. Following the Mission objective marker will lead you to the next object, which is also the Mission boss! There are no Supply Boxes in the Cow level, so make sure you're well prepared before you reach the end. Defeat the Mooshroom Monstrosity in this explosive end of the Mission! There does not seem to be any secrets in the Cow Mission, but we will update this page if we find any! Treasure Chests can sometimes be found at the end of the large, round areas that the Cow Mission is made of, but there are no Chests that spawn every time. There is only one type of enemy in this stage; Mooshrooms. They pack quite a punch but are also slow, so you should be able to plow your way through the Mission if you have some good AoE enchantments or artifacts with you. Just gather as many as you can in one spot and let loose! Like everything that moves in Minecraft Dungeons, Mooshrooms can appear in enchanted versions. You can find breakable pots with treasure on some of the mushrooms in the level, but you'll want to be careful when you aim for them or you will fall down and lose HP. This enormous Golem type enemy not only hits hard, it can also summon Mooshrooms and fire Mushroom missiles at you. A fully upgraded Deflect enchantment will send most of the missiles back at the Monstrosity, but it's not guaranteed so look out for your health! While most can be found pretty easily, the secret cow level will require a bit more work. In this guide, we will explain how to unlock the secret cow level in Minecraft Dungeons. To unlock the secret cow level in Minecraft Dungeons, players must have completed the main story. Further, players will have to playback through old missions to locate nine hidden runes which can be used to unlock the hidden level. Some of the runes are easy to find, while others are a bit harder. If you need help, we've got a great guide explaining how to find all of the runes. After the player has collected all of the runes, they'll need to visit the church close to their base camp and interact with a button on the back wall to open up a secret portal that will unlock the secret cow level. The door will not open until the player has collected all nine of the runes. You'll be able to find the church area after you've beaten the game to the southeast of the main camp area. Follow the path until you eventually run into a spring pad that will send you to the other side of a canyon. From there start walking until you see an incomplete Nether portal. You should see a hidden path close to the portal that you can follow which will take you to a drawbridge. Lower the bridge and it'll lead you to the church. As a note, you don't have to lower the bridge, but it'll allow you to easily get back to the church later on. After you've gathered all nine runes, head back there and you'll be able to unlock the Minecraft Dungeons secret cow level. The secret cow level is pretty simple and is filled with a lot of Mooshrooms and chests. To beat the level, you'll have to defeat the Mooshroom Monstrocity boss, which shouldn't be too difficult. If you're trying to increase your level, you'll want to hang around and fight all of the Mooshrooms, because it's a great way to grind XP. Microsoft has announced two DLCs for Minecraft Dungeons which will be coming later this year. It's unclear if there will be any more secret levels hidden within the DLC, but if there is, we'll be sure to let you know. If it happens to be your first visit to the church, you will need to travel through some nearby trees in order to reach the entrance. You will find these trees just South of the house that is South East of your camp. Once you are outside the church, pull the lever that is near the entrance in order to lower the drawbridge. Lowering the drawbridge will create a shortcut to the area, making it much easier and quicker to reach. With the drawbridge lowered, head inside and make your way to the very end of the room. Here you will find a wall with a button on the ground and 9 symbols. Pressing the button will turn all of your currently collected runes Purple. Once all the runes have been collected, return to the church and press the button at the end of the room to reveal a hidden doorway. This will lead to a small room that contains 2 chests and a map. This map will unlock a secret level called ???.
