The Wilderness at Fortune Bay Hosts the MN Section PGA Championship
The 2010 MN Section PGA Championship was held at The Wilderness August 30 & 31.
LAKE VERMILON, Minn. – September 1, 2010 – The Wilderness at Fortune Bay recently hosted the 2010 MN Section PGA Championship on August 30th and 31st. 103 PGA Professionals from around the state participated in the 2-day, 36-hole tournament. The tournament was sponsored by Titleist, Footjoy, Club Car, Superior Golf Carts, Mercedes-Benz, and the PGA.
Jeff Sorenson of Columbia Learning Center made birdie on the second play-off hole to defeat Don Berry of Edinburgh USA and win the 2010 Minnesota PGA Section Professional Championship. Tied for 3rd place were David Tentis and Brent Snyder both of the Troy Burne Golf Club. Jeff Sorenson and Don Berry both finished with a -7 score before the playoff. David Tentis and Brent Snyder both finished with a -4 score.
