The UNDP (2008) says the minimum absolute daily water need per person per day is 50 liters (13.2 gallons) which include: 5 liters for drinking, 20 for sanitation and hygiene, 15 for bathing and 10 for preparing food. However because of scarcity of drinking water, millions of people try to exist on 10 liters (2.6 gallons) a day (ADF, 2005). ................
