I think Iksan is a very small city because it takes only twenty minutes from beginning to the end of Iksan. However, there are many local specialties in Iksan.(repetititive) For example, Oriental melons are famous in Iksan for the(ir) taste which is much more sweeter and fresher than (in) any other areas. Also, Iksan has a "Mireuksa Temple" which is one of the national treauseres . Although it is (it has no) not local specialties, Iksan has another good (synonm?) feature. For instance, Iksan is a transportation center of Jeollabuk-do, so transportation is more convenient than any other Jeollabuk-do regions. As a long- lived person(word choice – as a person who has lived a long time in) in Iksan I think the most well kowned eatry is "Jang Seung-gol" because a reservation must be made one week in advance to eat at this restaurant. This restaurant is a Korean resturant, and its main menu is duck meat. This place is popular because it is not too greasy or irritating unlike other restaurants selling duck meat. I have been living in Iksan since I was born, so when I was in highschool I wanted to go to a university as far away as possible from Iksan because I wanted to try different experiences in other regions. However, after becoming an adult, I felt there is no place that could stabilize me (word choice – “grounds me”) as much as my hometown. In conclusion, although Iksan is a small city, it has many local specialties and cultural heritage. Also, the transportantion is convenient and have lots of delicious restaurants, so why don't you have a fine experience in Iksan!(X) – numeral(formal) – spell quantity / pronouns to avoid repetition / My hometown, Gimhae, is a boring city?located west of Busan and east of Changwon.?I’ve been living in this city for more than 19 years, and?the city(it) grew but?didn’t even really change. It might just be me, but the only meaningfully?different?thing?is Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit.?Thus, I will write about the only interesting thing about Gimhae: its history. Though it’s common to see towns with millennia-old history in the Old World, Gimhae is different. The area of Gimhae has been settled since time immemorial,?and it had functioned as a trade hub since the Bronze Age. Gimhae was a powerhouse of the region, well demonstrated by one of the largest dolmen in South Korea – Gusan-dong Dolmen – and the golden age of Geumgwan Gaya, the city-state that has been located around the central Gimhae, which happened?in the?3rd?century AD. Geumgwan Gaya’s downfall started at the turn of the 5th?century?when?Geumgwan?Gaya was invaded by Gwanggaeto the Great of Goguryeo, which resulted in losing the leadership of the Gaya Confederacy.?The downfall?culminated in being conquered by the much more centralized Silla?in 532;?the Gaya Confederacy’s remaining city-states soon followed after.?(follow and after are synonyms) Sadly, it also was the end of?the interesting part of Gimhae’s history.?As you can see,?Gimhae pales in comparison with cities like Gyeongju?in this regard,?but?I still am intrigued by the Gimhae’s rich history.(X) – paragraph form / verb tense / sentence fragment / My Hometown? My hometown is Seoul. Seoul is the capital of South Korea. And population is about 9.74 million. Seoul is famous for its population density (which is) nearly twice that of New York. Most houses are high apartments. I lived in Songpa and Gangnam in Seoul. I think both are great places. Songpa and Gangnam are located at the bottom (in the south of)of Seoul. I lived in Songpa until 2nd grade in elementary school, and until now I live(I have live in Gangnam since then) in Gangnam. Songpa is quiet and peaceful, but it has good transportation and many things to see. When I lived in Songpa, there was an Olympic Park in front of my house. So I used to go and play every weekend. When cherry blossoms bloom in spring, they are really pretty and many people come(visit). The Olympic Park was built for the purpose of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. The park has a gymnastics stadium where many concerts of singers are held. There is also the Lotte World Tower, which can be called the (is a major landmark in) Landmark of Seoul. Usually called Around 'Gangnam Station,' there are many clothing stores, restaurants, and singing rooms. It is a place where I can walk at home (from), so I often go to eat and go shopping. My hometown is Gwangju, Korea. Gwangju is located in Jeollanam-do at the center of Jeolla-do. Gwangju has a history of democracy. The democracy uprising began on May 18, 1980 and ended on May 27. A wide variety of works by artists are on display every month. Starting with large sculptures, the museum displays images, photo exhibitions, paintings, and sounds. I like this place very much. Because I can always have a different experience. If you are interested in culture, you must visit there. Another place I like is ‘Gwangju Theater’. Gwangju Theater was opened in 1935 as the only single theater in Korea. It is significant because it was made by Koreans at Japanese colonial era. Changgeuk and pansori were performed here. Now in the 21st century, independent and artistic films are mostly shown. I often go to Gwangju theater to see art movies. The advantage is that the screen is very large with more than 800 seats.Besides this, there are many wonderful places in Gwangju. Seoul has twenty-five districts. Among(Of these) twenty-five districts, I was born in Gangdong-gu. Gangong is literally “east of the Han River”. It is located on the east side of the city, and they have nine divisions. Among(Of these) the nine divisions, I was lived in Cheonho-dong until when I was five, and I moved to Amsa-dong. So I will explain these two districts. First, Chenho means “Thousand of Houses”, and there is a?(the)historical site of Pungnaptoseong, which is a flat earthen wall built at the edge of the Han River in(from ) the Baekje Era. In addition, Cheonho–dong is the only place where a huge department store such as Hyundai Department Store in the area of Gangdong-gu. I went to the store with my parents very often when I was young. Next, Amsa-dong is well known for the Amsa-dong Prehistoric Settlement Site, in which Neolithic remains were excavated after a large amount of diagonal-line patterned earthenware was exposed by a flood in 1925. Contrary to Chenho-dong, I have more memories of Amsa-dong. There was (the) Han River near my house, so I rode a bicycle a lot (along the river). Hi, my name is Hur Su-bin, and I am from Gangnam in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. I think my hometown is one of the most entertaining places. In Seoul, the Han River Park is(a) very well-known place. Most of the tourists visit (t)here, and ride bicycles or rest in tents enjoying the peaceful view. This river bisects the city, splitting it into two halves: Gangbuk, the northern, and Gangnam, the southern. There are many popular places in Seoul like Itaewon and Myeongdong, but Gangnam is the center of modern Seoul. In Gangnam station, there are many places to eat, shop, or rest. However, I think the most popular place is COEX. I actually live very close to COEX. I started to live there when I was 12. It takes almost five or ten minutes to get there from home on foot. Since I have been to COEX a lot, I am certain that it is impossible not to see any foreigners there. As time flows, trends and cultural things change, I guess tourists are concentrated to modernized place like here. It is great that many foreigners know my hometown, but there is a serious problem. Every time I go out, there are so many people everywhere. My house is literally located next to COEX, so I pass there many times. I cannot walk straight through the crowd or even need to stop for people to pass, and have to avoid the tourists’ cameras. Especially when I am (especially) busy, these little things make me so crazy. Since I lived there for almost nine years, I think it is time to move to other (another) places. Although it is convenient that I can get everything I need while living there, I want to move to somewhere quiet for now. This is the story of my hometown. It has more than a million citizen(s) in my hometown which is larger than Ulsan,?although it is not governed as a metropolitan city. There is interesting information about Suwon. It is(was) the first (planned)city in Korea. which is planned on purpose. When King Jeong-jo built??Hwaseong Fortress, he also had a plan to make Suwon the second capital. Unfortunately, he passed away before the plan was even finished. As I mentioned, Suwon is related with King Jeong-jo. (transitions As well..) Suwon is famous for Galbi (galbi) because it had a market which people could buy and sell cows(cattle). My friends and I took a pictures in there during lunch and dinner time. It is easily to get here even they are not a student in my high school. In my opinion, the best spot is in?the tomb of the first chairman?of the board. I know it literally sounds creepy but I’ve heard the body is not in there so it means nobody know about that issue. The tomb is surrounded lots of cherry blossom(s) and so many other flowers.?It is good to see cherry blossoms in there, but the most beautiful scenery is to see there (the trees) through the window while taking a class in the classroom.I had my own(favorite) hole-in-the-wall but it was closed in last year. When I was younger, I loved visiting Lotte World in Jamsil, Seoul. Many people know that Lotte World has both indoor and outdoor theme park, but probably not the fact that it is the biggest indoor theme park in the world. Now that I stay in Jochiwon, it takes around an hour and a half from here to my hometown by train and subways, and I visit there often as my aunt lives there, in Gangseo district. Near my aunt’s house, there is an airport called Gimpo International Airport. Did you know that the world’s busiest air route is between Gimpo and Jeju International Airports? The number of monthly passengers from Gimpo to Jeju and vice versa is 1.3 million, while the top two to four routes lie between (620,000 to 680,000) 620 to 680 thousands.
