InitiativesWork on the development of new and exploratory programmes: Supporting the Head of Student Programmes in the development of new interventions aimed at pre-16 students and concerning quantitative skills for humanities undergraduatesManaging existing activities under the Q-Step Strategic Impact Programme (SIP)Working on links between existing Student Programmes (NRP and Q-Step), including ways of bringing Nuffield and other research to bear on programme changeContributing to related research developments2. Data management and planningWork with the Head of Student Programmes to manage and plan programmes: Retrieving, analysing and reporting on data from Centres and AffiliatesSupporting data links with UCAS and Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA)Working with NRP colleagues to identify and target schoolsDeveloping new programme plans and data requirementsContributing draft material to Trustee papers and external consultationsOverseeing and maintaining the Programme Risk Register3. Network managementManage Q-Step high-level stakeholder relationships including: Developing and managing (2) Funders meetings each yearDeveloping and managing (2) Coordinators' meetings each yearDeveloping and managing (2) Strategy Board meetings each yearQ-Step evaluation - Developing and managing termly meetings4. Communications/marketingManage Student Programme communications, eg: Managing contact with student programme alumni and developing promotional work with themPiloting work with Q-Step undergraduates to develop a programme of alumni activities and establish a forum for quantitative graduatesMaintain and update existing communication activitiesMaintaining regular contact with Q-Step CoordinatorContributing to and monitoring communication channels, such as LinkedIn and Twitter and internal/external blogsWorking with NRP Coordinators to maintain a feed of information about Q-Step to schools and studentsExternal representation at meetings and presentations as required5. Reporting/monitoringManage Q-Step reporting and monitoring by, for example: Managing the annual report cycle from Q-Step Centres and Affiliates, including analysisWorking with Finance colleagues and external funders to monitor and manage financial reconciliationDeveloping budget proposalsContributing to the Q-Step Evaluation6. Financial supportWork with the Head of Student Programmes to control and plan programme budgets:Managing the Q-Step budgetPlanning budgets for initiativesOther: Professional developmentDeveloping and maintaining a broad awareness of the wider work of the FoundationSupporting other work of the Foundation as workload requiresContributing to raising the profile of Student Programmes within and outwith the Foundation (establishing links as required).Person specification Experience (E – essential; D – desirable)At least five years of relevant project management experience (E).
