eBooks Title List Tutorial Video ScriptIn this video, we’re going to look at how to find more information about eBooks titles. Of course you can always find more information from right within the bookshelf on eBooks by clicking the “More Info” button in the bottom right corner of a title. This will give you specific information on that book, such as the Lexile measure, grade level, description, and so on, but you’d have to go into each title individually to find out the information from within eBooks.Luckily, there’s another way to get the information that you need. To do this, go to the Training Guide, which you can access from the bottom of the Super Home Page. Scroll down to “Our Products” and click on “eBooks.” Here, you’ll see a section called “Complete Title List.” Under that is a link called “World Book eBooks Title List.” This list will allow you to find books by Lexile level, view by collection, access direct links and Accelerated Reader information, or learn more about a text, such as its length, a description, interest level, and more. When you click on that link, it will load a Google Sheets spreadsheet with all of the titles live on our eBooks site right now. You can find the ISBN number, the World Book series that that book is a part of, its title and description. You can find the author as well as the category that you can find it under on the eBooks site. In column G, you’ll see what collection the book is a part of: our Beginning Reader, our Bolt collection, our Advanced Reader, and so on. You can find the year it was published, the grade level it was intended for, its length, its Lexile level and AR level, if available, as well as the AR quiz number, if there’s one associated. Column N will tell you whether the book can be read aloud or not. And column O will list the books that have quizzes embedded right in them. It will list the type of quiz and the page number that it’s on. Finally, you’ll find the direct link to the eBook. You’ll notice if you open a book in the eBook reader, that you’ll just see a generic link up at the top. If you tried to copy, paste, and share this link with a student or a patron, it would not take them to this “Dinosaurs” book. Instead, use the direct link listed on this title list. Sharing this link with students or patrons will allow them to find the specific book that you want them to find.Another great feature of eBooks is that your account administrator is able to customize your collection of eBooks. This gives you control over the titles you’d like to have as part of your subscription. Check out our Custom Collections flyer under “Free Material” and “Flyers.” You’ll see the Custom Collections flyer there. This gives you more information on each of those collections, as well as intended grade ranges or age levels. And again, you can see which collection a book is in on this title list spreadsheet. So you can view the different collections, read the descriptions, and find out more information about those books as well to see if you want them to be part of your custom collection. ................
