250 gpm=15 psi/100’

300 gpm=20 psi/100’

350 gpm=25 psi/100’

400 gpm=30 psi/100’

Supply Line Friction Loss

5” hose:

500 gpm=2 psi/100’

750 gpm=4 psi/100’

1000 gpm=8 psi/100’

1250 gpm=10 psi/100’

1500 gpm=20 psi/100’

Master Stream Appliances

Appliance/Fixed=10-25 psi (may vary on how apparatus is plumbed).

Appliance/Remote=25psi

Smooth Bore Stacked Tips (1 1/2”, 1 3/4:, 2”)=80 psi (1”, 1 1/8”, 1 ¼”) = 50 psi

Fog Tip=100psi

Stacked Tips GPM:

1 3/8”=500 gpm

Standpipe Operations

2- 2 ½” lines with a NPDP of at least 150 psi. .

*Add 5 psi/story.

Miscellaneous

5 psi/ story or ½ lb per foot of height (.434 psi/foot of elevation).

10 psi for each appliance when flowing more than 350 gpm (gates, wyes and adapters).

*Always have a minimum of 20 psi of residual pressure during pumping operations.
