2. Translate the following passage into Tamil.

Today in many developing countries both men and women go out to work to ensure that the family has a good income and lifestyle. As a result, a typical family income has doubled.

What has created this significant change is an increase in the number of people entering the world of work. Now people enter professions where qualifications and training are essential. To become a professional requires a high level of skills and expertise. It also demands years of dedication and prior study in their field to get a job.

Major changes in recent years to the economy and availability of education have influenced the number of people joining the labour market. Nowadays people are entering professions that were not open to them before. This is particularly true for women.

As people are realising the importance of education around the world, more women have ventured into paid work. An international survey states that an equal number of men and women now enter professions in much larger numbers.

In order to encourage young parents to work, a range of childcare arrangements are offered by most employers. My 32-year-old sister Sitha has two children. She says that "without the support of my employers I could never have gone back to work."

This has had a positive impact on encouraging young people to continue studying and companies are investing time and money in their employees. When looking for a job, employees consider career developments and earning potential in the company.
