Course Description
This course intends to sharpen your skills in recognizing and using grammatical structures further more since grammar is the backbone of any language. Thus, this grammar course contributes to bridging the gap between the use and usage of grammar.
Course learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, students are expected to be able to:
1. know and practise the parts of the English sentence.
2. identify and use count and non-count nouns.
3. identify and use modal auxiliaries.
4. recognize and use participles and adjectives; comparative and superlative forms.
5. recognize and use adjective clauses.
6. recognize and use adverb clauses and adverb classifications.
7 identify compound and complex sentences.
8. recognize and use connectors
9. identify and use the passive voice.
10. recognize and use gerunds and infinitives.
11. identify and use verb tense, aspect, voice, and mood.

Attendance Policy:
It is very important that you attend all of your classes. The Islamic University of Gaza policy states the following:
A student at the Islamic University of Gaza is expected to attend at least 75% of classes in order to progress satisfactorily toward completion of course objectives. A student who is not meeting course objectives may be withdrawn from the course at the discretion of the instructor. If you must be absent from class, it is your responsibility to find out what work you missed in class, as well as any homework assignments and announcements about tests.
Course Evaluation:
The following categories and percentages represent how your final grade will be determined.
